This is my SIL new kitten Tasha. She will be declawed when she goes in for her spay in a month or so. (Believe me I have tried to talk her out of it but she is god over all she owns and flat told me and hubby, her brother, to mind our own business). I wanted to take some pics while she is still intact and since I was there today...

She has the most adorable face and fur like rabbits fur. Can anybody tell what she has in her the most? Her face shape is a little different, I cant put my finger on it.

And so calm!! OMG she was the most docile, friendliest little finger nibbler I ever saw. So here she is...

I'm not sure what SlL stands for, but I gather this is a person who is somewhat close to you.

To me, she looks like a domestic short hair Tabby cat. What breed is her primary breed.

Sorry to hear she is getting declawed.

So far out in left field I got lost
She is adorable
: It is so sad that you can't talk your SIL out of having her declawed
Maybe if you show her what is actually done to them when they are declawed then she may change her mind about it. One can only provide the information but can't make anyone do what is the right thing.

Please try to convince your SIL not to declaw her! She could try www.softpaws.com instead. My sister uses them on her cat and they work great and look pretty too

Here is a website you could share with her http://www.declawing.com/

Beautiful kitten by the way, she is so feminine!

Sorry to hear about the declawing ~ what a beautiful cat!

With the tufts on the tops of her ears I'm thinking a little American Bobtail...(see first pic) http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/profile...n-bobtail.html

What do you think?

Ginger, thanks for the website! I was trying to describe to my girlfriend what exactly a declawing procedure was and couldn't describe it so it made sense. So I sent her that site (the one with the pic).

Yeah sil=sister in law. Believe me when I tell you guys that 'you can pick your friends but you cant pick your family' . I even printed out the most graphic pics you can find on the web. I can go and on about her but I wont.

I feel so bad for the poor kitty.

She is SUCH a little sweetie! Especially that second pic. Ai-yi-yi!
What a shame about the declawing. Too bad that woman won't listen to reason.
Well, some people just don't get it, and I've known more than one otherwise sensible, intelligent, CARING person who has done this awful thing (before I knew myself how awful it is, so even if I'd been in a position to counsel against, I wouldn't have known I should). SIGH!
