Hi everyone.

My cat Fluffers, who was semi-wild until a few months ago, is pregnant. But I'm still not sure how many weeks she is.

My original guess would make her about 8 weeks at the moment, but then I thought about it again and felt like she is now more like 6 weeks.

But not being sure is annoying me since I'm very new to this and would much rather know when to expect it.

She must be at least 6 weeks because her nipples were big and pink 3 weeks ago, but they may have been pink and big before but I didn't look. In the past 2 weeks she's got very big. I'm not sure if I've felt movement yet. For the last few days I've felt little things in her stomach, but they feel more like a pulse, although I can't always feel them. So maybe it's not a pulse?

Her nipples are big and long and sticking out, but no sign of any milk. She's cleaning her rear end a lot and eating like crazy.

So based on all that, plus the picture below that I took today, how many weeks do you think she is? I know it's a bit of a guess, but most people here know a lot more than I do, so your guesses are helpful to me!

I would agree it sounds more like 6 weeks. When you feel movement..you will know. It's kicks and rolls not a pulse. They tend to not eat as much as they get close to their due date.

I think you have at least 2 weeks to go..maybe more.

Has she had access to outside the entire time?

She's been mostly wild for as long as I've known about her (she had very irresponsible owners). I started feeding her about 9 months ago. This time when she got pregnant I decided I couldn't let it keep happening. So I've kept her inside completely the last 3 weeks and I won't be letting her out again. She's not complained at all since she's been in. But she was out when she was in heat and I'm having a hard time remembering the date...

What a shame you didn't write the date she was in heat down.  I suspect you can feel kittens kicking which puts her in the last 2 weeks, and still being able to reach her behind puts her with almost a couple of weeks to go - usually they can't at the end of a pregnancy.

It was really silly not writing the date down. I was sure I knew what it was, but when the time came for me to work out the dates I realised I didn't have a clue. All I know is it was between January 10th and 28th.

So you can get a clue from the dates you do have.  Jan 10th would put her due on March 15th, and Jan 28th on April 2nd.  My guess of a couple of weeks from your description (e.g. March 25th) is right in the middle of that range.

To me the first movements feels like bubbles or like gas going threw her....only everywhere. Not sold kicks or rolling until late week 7. I don't know if that is helpful. I am getting the hang of it. The cats I take in are already pregnant so I never have a date. You can learn a lot just by watching. But only after going threw it a few times. I'm obviously still totally confused by the queens I have now. They aren't doing things by the book at all. With that being said, it does sound like week 6. And don't feel bad about not writing it down. I got cocky this year and didn't write down the pinking date lol That's why I'm having such trouble now!

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

Actually, the way you describe it as gas or bubbles going through her does sound a lot like how it feels. Or maybe her stomach's just rumbling! I guess at some point there will be major kicking and then there will be no doubt!
