Hi again! Thanks for answering the cat show questions. How fun! I did not know you showed your babies in HHP! That is great. For some reason, I thought you bred purebred cats. :lol3: I would love to show Perla as a HHP. She is very beautiful with her white gleaming coat and bright green eyes. She also has very slight grey tops of color on her head. Unfortunately, she is my high stress baby with herpes. So no showing for her.

Let's see... more questions maybe! :eyebrows: :lol3:

1. If you suddenly became rich, VERY rich via lotto or otherwise, what are the first three things you would spend the money on? :dollars:

2. What are three personality traits in people that you despise?

3. If you had three wishes, what would they be? :9:

AbbysMom:

Do you prefer digital or film cameras?
I prefer film, but use the digital camera a lot more for snapshots and things I want to send in email or post on the internet.

Any plans for the weekend?
Cat show!

If you were to look at the closest window, what would you see?
The Weaver Mountains north of town (more like foothills, but they're called mountains)

Do you subscribe to any magazines?
Runner's World and PhotoShop User

What is the closest tourist attraction to you?
Wickenburg, where I live, is mostly a tourist town with several dude ranches, western museum, etc. The next closest is probably Jerome, AZ.

Has you chosen our next Spotlight victim?
Is there a list of interested people, or do I just pick on somebody?

What's your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
It's been a long time since I've read Dr. Seuss. I don't remember the title, but there was one book where two beings met in the middle of nowhere. Neither one of them would move and they ended up with an entire roadway system being built around and over them while they were staring each other down.

If you could live in any home on a television series, what would it be?
I don't watch enough TV to have a favorite

Who's your favorite Muppet?
Cookie Monster

What's the habit you're proudest of breaking?
Biting my fingernails

What was your most recent trip of more than 50 miles?
To visit my mother in Tucson, about 175 miles

What's the best bargain you've ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?
A cherrywood dining set for $750. Includes table & six chairs, china hutch, buffet, and serving table. I even started a thread about it here in the Cat Lounge. :D

What's your least favorite word?
Other than swear words, least favorite is "stupid"

1. If you suddenly became rich, VERY rich via lotto or otherwise, what are the first three things you would spend the money on? :dollars:
1) Pay off my mortgage and all credit cards
2) Buy another abyssinian show cat
3) Buy a sailing ship and sail around the world. Probably have to hire my brother to sail it. (Wonder if cats get seasick?)

2. What are three personality traits in people that you despise?
1) People who put others down, either to their face or behind their backs.
2) People who constantly complain about how bad things are for them but never do anything to change their lives.
3) People who have an opinion on anything and everything but never consider anyone else's opinions.

3. If you had three wishes, what would they be? :9:[/quote]
You've heard the saying "be careful what you wish for"? I'm going to have to think about this one and get back to you.

I've got all the show equipment packed. All I have to do now is go buy some people food for the weekend, stuff Shareena in a carrier, and get on the road.

I won't have internet access until I get back from the show. I'll answer the rest of the questions on Sunday and get a new thread started for the next Spotlight member.

Hi Joan, to answer your question, Karen told me that I would choose & ask someone if they would like to be next.  I asked 3 people & no one could do it, so thanks for filling in by the way!

Have fun this weekend!!  "Bring us back some pictures."

Yes, pick a victim and PM them to see if they are willing. If you have a tough time, let me know as I do have one person to use in a pinch. :)

Do you do a lot of work out in the yard?
Oldest thing in your house?
Favorite holiday?
Favorite vegetable?
Least favorite household chore?
Do you burn candles?

I have read through things, but so sorry if I've doubled up:
  • Do you grow anything that you eat?
  • Have you ever acted in anything?
  • What's the most favourite clothing outfit you've ever had?
  • Do you do any art?
  • Long or short hair preference?
  • How long is a piece of string?   I've always wanted to know that

So sorry for the delay. The last two days turned out to be a lot busier than I expected.

I've PM'd someone, just waiting to hear back.

Do you do a lot of work out in the yard?
Not as much as I should. I have desert landscaping, which you'd think would be low maintenance. But every time it rains I have to get out and pull weeds before the ground dries into hardpan again. I have quite a few bushes that need regular trimming as well.

Oldest thing in your house?
I was going to say Me, but that's not quite true. The oldest thing I can think of is a tintype of my great-great-great-grandparents, probably from the 1870's.

Favorite holiday?
Easter

Favorite vegetable?
Snow peas

Least favorite household chore?
Mopping the kitchen floor.

Do you burn candles?
Not since I had kitties move into my house.

I have read through things, but so sorry if I've doubled up:
  • Do you grow anything that you eat?
I try, but it takes a lot more work to grow things in Arizona than it did when I was growing up in the midwest. The things that do the best are tomatoes, summer squash, and zucchini. I usually get some radishes and carrots if I get them in the ground early enough, before it gets too hot. The last place I lived the peas and green beans did well, but the soil where I am now doesn't seem to agree with them.

  • Have you ever acted in anything?
Musicals in high school and a production of "HMS Pinafore" in college

  • What's the most favourite clothing outfit you've ever had?
A velour lounge set. Very comfortable pants and tunic top in dark turquoise with gold stars scattered on the top. I was so sad when it finally wore out. :(

  • Do you do any art?
Only photographic art.

  • Long or short hair preference?
Long hair on me. Short hair on cats. :happy3:

  • How long is a piece of string?   I've always wanted to know that :jump:
It reaches all the way from one end to the other.

NutroMike:

Do you horseback ride?
I have done occasionally, but was never an expert. It's been several years since I was on a horse.

What is your favorite vegetable?
Same as before: snow peas

Do you drink alcohol, if so, what is your drink of choice?
No. I did drink once in a while when I was living in Scotland and in Austria, but never found anything a liked. I don't see any reason to spend money on something I'm not going to enjoy.

What magazines do you like?
Photography and archeology

Are you a gardener?
Yes

Do you like hats?
Only on other people

Wonderful, excellent answers. I like the way you think about things and you know one of the things that really gets under my skin are people who complain and complain about their lives and do nothing to change them AND people who think their opinions and ideas are the only ones that matter.

 Not sure if cats get seasick..... :lol3: and, yeah, be careful what you wish for.... good answer.:clap::clap::clap:
