1.- Wich one is the most crazy thing that have you ever do it???? ( I mean for example, Jump in parachute, Take a Snake live, Jump in Bungee etc)

3.- If you can travel in time and to meet to some historycal person WHO would be and Tell us why?...
4.- If you have the money power to move to some part of the world ( of course with your kittys) wich place would be and why.....

Hi Joan!!! Since I recently attended a cat show and had SO much fun seeing all of the beautiful purebred cats, my questions are show cat related!!! I would love to someday show a purebred cat as a Premier. I think it would be delightful and so enjoyable.

1. How long have you been showing cats?
2. What is your breed of choice?
3. How many cat shows do you attend a year?
4. Do you travel long distances to get to the cat shows?
5. How many "show" cats do you have at home currently?
6. Have you ever shown in the Premier class?

I'll start it off!        Hmmm, Lets see, I'll keep it simple.

What's your favorite color? Depends on my mood. Usually blue, but sometimes green or lavender or bronze.

What's your favorite food? That's a tough one. Mostly I just like to eat. If something I eat most often counts as a favorite it would be tossed green salad. Of course, my salads tend to have at least 8 or 10 different things in them, so lots of favorites.

What's your favorite drink? Tea. I mostly drink the herbal/fruit teas, but every once in a while just have to have a nice hot cup of Darjeeling.

What's your favorite show? I rarely watch TV or go to the movies, so don't really have a favorite. Right now I'm enjoying Downton Abbey, a British show on PBS.

Were is/what's your favorite place? It's a toss-up between the Tirol in Austria and the South Island of New Zealand.

What is something you've always wanted to do? Sing professionally. I'd love to be in a choir that travels all over the world doing concerts.

How did you get interested in showing cats?
I saw and ad online with a discount coupon to attend a CFA show. I thought it sounded like fun, so I went to the show and didn't have any idea what was going on. I asked someone at the check-in desk some questions, and it turned out she's one of the major forces in showing HouseHold Pets in the region. Best contact I ever made. I think I went to a couple more shows as an observer before I started entering my cats.

What are some of your hobbies?
Spreading myself kind of thin here. In no particular order: hiking, running, knitting, reading, photography.

What do you do for a living?
It depends on the day of the week. I'm a nurse, working one or two night shifts a week. I'm church organist. I teach private piano and voice lessons.

Last time you were on vacation?
I went to Yosemite and King's Canyon/Sequoia National Park with my sister and brother-in-law last July.

Do you like to listen to music?
Love music. My favorite is classical, but I also enjoy Celtic, folk music, soft rock, and occasional country.

What's your favorite forum on TCS?

What are you wearing right now?
Jeans and a sweatshirt that says "Hallelujah! Wickenburg Messiah 1996". In 1994 the Wickenburg Community Orchestra and the Wickenburg Community Chorus joined up to do the Christmas part of the Messiah each December. That lasted for 4 or 5 years until we started expanding to bring in different types of Christmas music. Eventually the Messiah part got dropped entirely.

Do you spend most of your time on TCS on a desktop? laptop? tablet? phone?
Desktop. I don't have any of the others.

Do you prefer sweet or salty snacks?
Yes

Do you clip coupons?
Yes. Mostly for things that I would be buying anyway, although there are a couple of things I get only when I have a coupon.

I try not to do scary things.

Not since I got kittens. I used to have 4 or 5 really nice spider plants, but the kitties decided the pots were better for sleeping in. I also had a Christmas cactus that I'd kept alive for over 40 years, but it didn't survive the first two kittens.

People who misuse words in their own language. Texting abbreviations that I can't read are a close second.

Yes, I'm a Christian. I'm very active in my church and also spent two years in a seminary program studying the Bible.

7.- Favourite Salad?
Homemade tossed salad, usually includes everything I have in the refrigerator. I also make a dessert salad with pasta, pineapple, mandarin oranges, whipped cream, and marshmallows, and a few other things I can't think of right now.

I don't drink soda. Carbonated drinks don't like me.

9.- Choose one would you prefer to watch Sunrise :sun: or Sunset and tell us why......
Sunset, because I'm not a morning person.

10.- Do you have a car? wich type is it?....
I had a 2005 Toyota Prius that I traded in 6 months ago for a 2012 Prius. Unfortunately they had changed the design of the dashboard and center console. I spent six months grouching about the layout every time I drove the car. Then yesterday I took it back to the dealer and traded it in for a 2010 Hyundai Tuscon (SUV). So far I've only driven it from the dealer to home, about 45 miles, but I'm really liking it a lot better. Now if they just made it in a hybrid I'd be really happy.

I started showing almost 5 years ago, when Shareena and Miss Patchwillow were a little over a year old.

2. What is your breed of choice?
Abyssinian :love: My second choice would be Turkish Angora.

3. How many cat shows do you attend a year?
I started out slow but the last couple of years I've gotten to 10 or 12 a year.

4. Do you travel long distances to get to the cat shows?
The closest shows for me are about 70 miles away, and there are only 3 or 4 shows a year there. I travel to Palm Springs several times a year, which is a 3-1/2 hour drive. The furthest I've gone is San Diego, a 6-hour drive, and I've only done that one twice.

5. How many "show" cats do you have at home currently?
Three HHPs that I can show (and 3 that I can't), and an abyssinian.

6. Have you ever shown in the Premier class?
My aby is a Premier. He's not top show quality so he doesn't get points very often. He's about a third of the way to his Grand Premier and I figure he'll be old and gray before he gets there.

1. Although you said you rarely watch movies, what was the last one you've seen?
The last movie I saw in a theater was "A Prairie Home Companion". I took my parents to see it shortly before they moved away from the town where I live, 6-1/2 years ago.

2. What is the last book you've read?
I'm reading Bolo by David Weber (science fiction)

3. Who in your family loves cats too?
My niece. My mother never thought she liked cats until she was visiting when Goldy's kittens were about 6 weeks old.

4&5. Which of the four seasons is your favorite and why?
Spring. Because I love the wildflowers, especially when I can get out and take pictures of them.

6. Who do you admire or inspires you to be a better person?
I can't think of any well-known person off the top of my head. In my own life our pastor's wife is an amazing person. She truly cares about others and acts through that caring.

Digital camera is Pentax K-01
Film cameras: Pentax K1000, Bronica medium format (2-1/4 x 2-1/4), Pentax medium format (6 x 9), Wista 4x5 field camera


If you could only chose one out of being a nurse, organist and giving lessons, which would it be?

Leaving the income out of the equation, I'd choose organist. (I think, maybe, hmm)


Are you an early riser?
Nope. Best sleeping time is between 2:00 AM and 10:00 AM


Have you ever broken any bones?

Yes, both time while I was in college. I broke my right arm in a car accident and smashed my right hand tobogganing on the ski slopes. I think I've gotten smarter and less accident prone since then.


Longest race you have participated in?

Ragnar Relay Del Sol 202.1 miles this year. Of course, my part of it wasn't nearly that long. The longest leg I've run in a previous Ragnar was 8 miles.


Do you watch sports on TV?

Rarely. I watch some of the Olympics. I used to watch figure skating, but they've moved most of it from the broadcast channels to ESPN. Since I don't have cable I don't get to see it any more.

No. I never liked dressing up for halloween even when I was a kid, unless I could be a princess or a ballerina.

Usually whatever we're working on for the church choir or community chorus that I sing with.
