I am sorry Snowball went missing. I can't imagine just opening a gate and turning an animal loose without calling the neighbors. We have had horses and puppies and mama dogs in our yard. I always cared for them until the neighbor or the owner could be found. I do so hope Snowball is being taken care of and you will get her back. We have a horse pasture across the road from us. There are horses, a donkey, several sheep dogs, goats and maybe other animals. I love to go over there and pet the goats. They are really, really sweet. They are jealous of each other. :lol3:

She has vanished into thin air. No sign at all. I have continued to search, on foot and by car, by telephone and I give a poster to every walker I meet in the forest. Goats are two a penny here - you can buy a milking goat like her for 40 euros, so I can't imagine it would be worth stealing her. I do think she is in the depths of the forest, and I go there and call her - she does usually come to her name, but so far, nothing. Her field seems terribly empty.

Oh Jenny! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I'm so sorry. :(

I'm just appalled at your neighbor. I'd like to say a lot of things about his behavior that aren't appropriate for TCS. :(

:vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: she'll be near enough in the forest at some point to hear her name and find her way home.... you must be hoarse from calling for her. :(

I am so sorry. I hope she's well and just on an adventure - and that she's found a way to safely shelter somewhat from the snow.

I am trying to persuade my brother, who has just bought a drone aerial camera, to come over and see if he can find her in the forest using it to fly overhead. It would be a good time now, after the snow has gone and before the trees all have leaves. He wants some practice with it, and I think it a great idea, but he is not sure about it all. He has the relevant licences to fly it.

I wonder what he might be able to see from above with all the trees? Or is it not  a very thick forest?

It varies - there is quite thick underbrush but right now there are no leaves and with her being pure white she would be visible, I htink.

I know how much you are worrying. All the good wishes you sent me when Sugar was gone, doubled and sent right back to you.
