I don't know where to put this nutrition or health feel free to move it.

Today i got my Candie her shots and she weighed about 12 pounds a month before but since i was switching her food to evo wet food and i give her some blue buffalo in the middle of the day. Is this bad??? I'm worried she will be pencil thin :(. she is starting to eat more of her evo food. I am very very very worried now! Usually i feed her 1/3 of a 13 ounce can each day i split the 1/3 from morning to night until i know she is eating all of it. In the middle of the day i give my cats dry food I try to get my picky cat to eat wet food but she would not touch it so after my cat feeding time i put some dry food out since i know candie is full. I think the food i'm giving them makes them fuller and i'm afraid she will get fuller and not eat enough :(

I know unexplained weight loss can be a cause for concern. it is certainly possible changing food--especially from dry to wet--can cause weight loss.  Was your vet concerned?  Did the vet order any blood work?  And, how old is Candie?  I'm a little confused/slow today:  do you have one or two cats?

What brand of food were you feeding Candie?

There are approximately 500 calories in a 13 oz can, so 1/3 of a can is 166 calories.  With Blue Buffalo, I would think that would be enough food to maintain her weight depending on her activity level and bone structure (some cats are longer than others).

If you're dealing with two cats, maybe the other cat is eating the food meant for Candie?

Cats will eat until they are full (sometimes, more than full!) unless they aren't feeling well or simply don't like the food.

yes i have 2 cats, one cat is a finky eater so all she does is like dry but she will nibble some wet and until i see her nibble more wet i will be able to split it in 1/2 of the can so basicly she eats only 1-3 nibbles of wet food. and i watch them eat so the other cat doesn't eat it. I feed them morning and night on wet food. I usually take away the food bowl around 5 pm so they can eat wet food at about 8-9. The vet said she is good health and her fur is super super soft too. when i split the can in half 1/2  and give them each it would be 125 so they have dry food in between to make up for it. Once i find the right food for the other cat she will enjoy i will be able to give her own food she loves. but i seem to give them enough food i fill the bowl according to the weight and half the weight for my candie since she eats more wet. she does have energy sometimes runs around the room back and forth then out in the living room til she tires herself out and sleeps.

Then if she has lots of energy and is eating and your vet doesn't seem concerned, then I'd keep doing what you're doing.
