Sense I'm going nuts with anticipation I thought I'd start a thread for any other person out there with crazy kitten syndrome! I hear my kids muttering things like,"obsession" "crazy" "are you serious!?" :) but the excitement is killing me! So if anyone wants to give a play-by-play of their own kitten mania, this is a good spot! Here is where I am in my own, personal bipolar waiting game. Both my queens have been contracting for 4 days. Braxtons only. But yesterday they both lost their plugs! What are the odds right! So I think here we go!!" Eeeeeek kittens are coming call the president!!!!! Or at least my mother......who for some reason doesn't care  So, like the last two nights I'm up with mommas most of the night until I just can't do it any more. Wait for it.....I end up with those nightmares like I got when I was pregnant. The cat is having her kittens in the litter box and buried them alive. Or last nights dream where when her water broke it was like a fire hose and I couldn't make it stop!! It was even spraying from the tip of her tale that she kept wiping in my face and smelled like poo! I woke up to the smell of fresh Kitty rocca and my face was in drool. Now you know I'm not making this up this madness, why would I admit to drooling in my sleep? Out of pure exhaustion I assure you!! So here I now wait after 4 days into it and the queens are acting like they weren't even pregnant!!! :) Your turn!!

It was very amusing to read about your dreams :) I am a bit confused when you say cats "are contracting for 4 days" and "braxton" and also "they lost their plugs" >.< makes me feel a noob, would you explain to me.

I am also very excited with my cat which is due in 2 weeks. I am starting to be paranoid that she seem smaller this week than she looked the previous week... I keep caressing her belly to check the size and wanting to pick her up to feel the weight. She seems ok otherwise, happy and nesting and big. Just, not big enough for me, maybe I am paranoid.

Ok, well contractions is the squeezing of the uterus. Braxtons are practice contractions that help get the body ready for labor and help get the babies in the position to be born. The "plug" or mucus plug is in between the bag of waters and the outlet to the world ;) it keeps infection out and babies in during pregnancy. It is the same in humans. I'm excited about your kittens and hope to see pictures :) !! I'm STILL waiting on mine and I'm guessing we are about day 64/65, that's after adjustments for being off in the first place! Thank you for the comment!:D

Aaaaahhhhhaaaaa I have been where you are many times- the waiting game is absolutely killer! I admit I suffer from the crazy pregnancy dreams too whenever I have a foster. The worst part is you spend all this time fretting over when they will come and once they do there are days you wish they would go back in the belly so you could have a few minutes of peace!

I wish Queens would be a little more considerate and give us a heads up as to when they are due. It's so selfish not to!
But, until they sprout vocal chords or learn how to use a calendar I suppose we will just have to grit our teeth and anxiously obsess.

I do hope yours come soon- I know you have been waiting awhile. Here's hoping you don't drown yourself in drool in the meantime!

I been pretty good about the drool so far :D I decided if no one is acting like labor by midnight, I'm going to bed! Oh have you ever heard of this!! I have a Tom who comes Calling his head off outside my house every night now! My queens have never been talkers or been outside! How the heck does he know they are in here?!!? He is driving me to the padded room and Straight jacket!

Oh they just know. I think Toms can smell intact females from miles away and come hoping to get a piece of the action. I swear once I walked by my sliding glass door and had to do a double take: there was a Tom trying to claw his way under the door so he could get to my Queen inside. It wouldn't be so shocking except I live on the second floor and the walls surrounding it are all brick. I still haven't been able to figure out how he got up here other than he sprouted wings and flew!

Better go get fitted for that straight jacket now- my guess is he's not going anywhere for awhile!

Lol last night I almost turned into that lady you see in old cartoons who throw old boots at toms singing on the fence. That is so funny and amazing what that Tom must of put himself threw lol just to get a big NO! Lol I can't wait to get these queens spayed :D Still no kittens (more eye twitching)

Im a Newbie at this! So im anxious myself.... i know she is getting really close but we aren't really sure as to when she conceived... I figure she was maybe within a week from birth... but tonight she showed me signs that make me think she might just be ready. shes just laying around... no noise...breathing heavily... not panting just hard heavy breathing... ANNNNNND.... what scares me.... she had a small bloody murky discharge.... is that normal??? it wasn't really messy... just kindof hung from her lady parts.... maybe an inch/inch and a half long??? this is the first time i have ever had a mommy... and this is the first time she will be a mommy... so i think she is probably just as scared as me...

Sounds like her plug has come out. Usually that means she is very close to labor or even in early labor. But I must say that I'm might mean nothing. Both my rescues lost their plugs a long time ago!
