I'm in central VA and we are getting snowed on quite a bit here, though it is the disgusting, rainy, slushy, packed kind of snow rather than the fluffy, soft, clean, fresh snow we'd prefer.  I'm not sure what other areas on the East Coast have been affected.  Is anyone else having snow?

I got to work after a moderately treacherous commute - it was fine in my area, but once I got through one of the highway interchanges, it was awful.  Cars in the ditches, everyone driving 25 mph with their blinkers on, etc.  Traffic was backed up at the exit to my job (it's a very corporate area) so it took me about 30 minutes to get from within a mile of the exit to the light at my building (and my building is RIGHT off the exit!) and right before I turned in, my boss called and said we had closed down.  Wish I had known before!!!!  Now I'm back home and snuggled up with the cats, thankful for the snow day.

Hope everyone is okay out there!

I live in Annapolis and work in Washington, DC.

My firm closed for the day, thank goodness.  A whole day to snuggle with Ritz!

Lots of wind and rain, but very little snow here in Annapolis.  I know Virginia (Front Royal, Winchester) is getting the bulls' eye.  There is a saying:  if Jim Cantore (from The Weather Channel tv station) goes to your city, you know you're in trouble.  Well, he picked the wrong city this time:  He is in front of the White House, and is bemoaning the lack of snow.

The National Weather Center is going to decrease the amount of snow expected for DC and  points East.

Temps this weekend are forecasted to be in the mid 50s.

Hope this wild weather doesn't bother the tulips I planted for the first time.

Glad you safe...

I am not far from Camden NJ and at moment it is a bit windy with rain.  Was more windy this am but calmed for a bit.  Cats are all just lumps sleeping in piles.  Not much for them to see with no animals out.

We are the block that loses power at anything so expecting it will go out for a few hours at some point.  Working on wash till then.

We've got crazy winds here but are only supposed to get an inch of two of snow. The rest is going to be rain. Lots of coastal flood warnings. Stay safe everyone!

I am on the east coast, but I am in the south. No snow for us, just winds.

Just wind and rain here, too. We had a power blip at work for a second due to the high winds. Overall, just a dreary, yucky day.

We got rain and high winds.  It's supposed to snow but so far I don't see anything.  The winds have been pretty crazy on their own.  We had to pull our trash cans inside and it moved this heavy cube toy with a slide thing my kids have on the back patio.  I'm not sure how to describe it; it's from Little Tikes and made for toddlers.  I've left that thing out during other crazy storms without issue; we just push it up against the house and we didn't this time.  It also keeps unlatching this sliding screen door on the back of the house and moving it.  It's not much of a door.  It's very lightweight. DH had added a hook and eye latch so it wouldn't move around much. This is the first it's been windy enough to unlatch it!

I'm ready for spring!!

I'm on the east coast and I've just been out in my garden on my sun-lounge with a good book and a cool drink...

Central PA here.....not a flake (snow flake, that is) in sight. Not that I'm complaining. We dodged that bullet.

Stay safe!

It has been snowing since 3 am or so here. Streets are fine as it never stuck but still causing delays.  Still coming down nicely too.

It was supposed to be sunny here with a chance of showers.  Instead we got very fine snow that didn't stick and it's cloudy as could be. With a really cold wind.  I decided against shopping today.  Tomorrow is supposed to be much better!!
