Took in a stray cat. Just found out she's pregnant.

I took in brownie after a lady said she was a sweet cat. I brought her home 7wks ago tomorrow. I am new to a pregnant cat. Growing up we had a cat but she was fixed. I made brownie an inside cat. She is now due any day. Took her to vet today and got worm and ear mite treatment. Said blood tests all came back negative. Vet said she is about a yr old. I can bring her back about 2 to 3wks after she gives birth for shots. I can't feel kitten movement yet. She weighs 9lbs 8ozs. And is tortoise color with long hair. I'm worried I will be out of state from the 10th to 15th. Hubby will be home but its not the same.. Any advice on what to look out for would be great.

Peculiar you cant feel kittens movements yet. They are usually easy to feel from about two weeks before ddeliver. Sometimes a little earlier.  If you took her 7 weeks ago and she was inside since, it is about 2 weeks left, or less.   Of course, the last days before delivery you often dont feels them as much, as the tummy gets harder.

Is there ANY chance she got "in this condition" after coming to you?  A little sneak out, 10 minutes on her own, is enough if there is an experienced tom. And he often is, this is why they DO their outmost to sneak out when in heat.

I suppose vet confirmed pregnancy?  What did vet thought?

But if you do have 2+ weeks left, the delivery will be when you are back...

Well the first two nights she was here she did this weird meowing. My aunt said that she was in heat. We didnt let her out of our house for the first 2 weeks due to her being new we didnt want her to run off, and our neighbor two houses down has over 30 pitbulls.. So if she got pregnant while she was here she would be 5 weeks. Vet said she is at the end of her pregnancy that it could be any day now. She has been sleeping alot lately. And normally she stays in the back half of the house but recently she keeps going to the other end where all 5 of my kids sleep. Ive made her a few nesting spots. Its been about 2 weeks that Ive noticed her round huge belly. I called my aunt and said either shes gotten really fat or she has worms. My aunt said sorry but I bet shes pregnant.. She has lost all the hair around her nipples they are bright pink and long. I dont see any milk yet. She hasnt been eating all that much today. Last week she was eating 3 cans of food. I will try and post pictures. Due to her dark colors and long hair they dont turn out that great.

Well I've felt one maybe two kittens move tonight they were back by her hips. I've been feeling her belly lol maybe that's why I haven't felt them sooner lol

I was able to feel 1 or 2 kittens moving last night. I realized they were back by her hips and not actually in her belly. Lol. I have now moved her to my bedroom and have her a nest in my closet with food water and her litterbox. Also 2 nests in my room. So hopefully she has them by Saturday night or she waits til the followinf Friday night.
