Darling Snowbell, she is a wonderful cat! I just can't believe the change in her. I wish I had pictures of what she looked like when I got her. And she was so scared, half feral, dirty and infected with fleas and Tom bites. Once her kittens come she is going to the groomer, she will be stunning! No labor for her tonight so I shall sleep!!! Night TCS

I think Snow may have been taken from her mum too soon. I need a few different ideas on how to teach her to clean herself. I'm starting to worry about her mothering skills as she doesn't clean herself. Don't laugh at Mr, I tried spraying her in the butt with water and she let it air dry! I tried putting Hairball treatment on her paws and she flicked them around but it took it getting everywhere before she cleaned her face. I tried KMR on her to with me having to clean crunchy hair! Any ideas welcome!!! And still no labor :( today was her estimated due date.

When they are high preg, many has difficulties with cleaning themselves.  It is not necessarily so she cant, but it is troublesome for her, taking out her breath.

It is quite common owners do help them in the last time before delivery with cleaning there backwise.

Good luck!

She will not let me clean her, and she didn't clean herself when I got her, at 3 weeks along. It might be pregnancy related, ill watch after birth. But I'm looking for training methods if she still doesn't then. Thank you for the feed back :)

Today snowbell is running around like she has lost her mind! If she is left alone too long in her room she cries. When I open the door she darts out like someone is chasing her. She hides an then darts to a new spot. Wonder what has come over her lol. She is so weird!

Snowbell is having a hard day I think. She has always been one of those cats that is purring one minute and biting the next. In the last month she had stopped that an wants all the attention she can get. Today seemed no different. I walked in her room and she ran to me for love. I sat down to give her some and she rolled over for belly rubs purring loudly. But oh my, did she ever give it to me when I touched her belly lol! I got her claws out and calmly talked to her an pet her head. Once again, she crawled into my lap and rolled over, but attached me when I tried to pet her. She was half feral, but do you think it might be labor related?? I hope this doesn't mean she won't let me help her. 7 months old, first litter and the vet says it's a big one. Any thoughts??

I know what you mean about the stress and uncertainty. Can't imagine what that would be like with two at once like this situation!

I know when I took in Misty she was about 4 weeks and she got nasty over the next few weeks.  I had her caged for a bit and would trick her to going down a level so I could pop out water bowl and she'd try to dart and attack me.  It stopped as soon as the babies were born.  She also did the I want pets/I hate you thing.  I imangine the pressure the kittens are putting on is uncomfortable and considering how much they move and kick.  The cat I had with a litter of 3 was alot more calmer then Misty with litter of 5.

Thank you all, still no kittens! Today was the latest due date the vet and I came up with. The first was the 9th, if that makes sense. Its hard when cats come already pinked up! You know it was less stressful with 5 at a time like I had last year! I was kept so busy I didn't have time to watch for every little clue. Now it's like watching the clock!! The more tired I get the crazier I feel! Lol oh well tis the life I choose!

Sigh....still no baby's for Snowbell. The longer she carries the more worried something is wrong. The vet said everything is fine, but my gut is always right. Something is off with her or the kittens. I REALLY don't want to go with a c-section so any help with how to help labor get going in over due cats would be helpful at this point!!

Well I just got off the phone with my vet, we have decided to put off the c-sections until the 22ed. Yeay!! That does give me and the queens a little more time to do this the natural way. I was really starting to feel the pressure with the 19th right around the corner :)!!

I'm sure she'll have them with another 5 days to play with. After all, another 5 days for a cat is almost 10 percent of an entire pregnancy!

Lol I know! I'm excited! As much as I want them to come out, I don't want to do the c-section!! Still no sign of labor but they are going into deep rest mode during the day.

I'm going to play it safe and assume that this is another false alarm for snowbell hoping it isn't. Her babies have been moving a mile a minute which seems to be triggering Snow to clean her belly and literally pull the hair off from around her nipples. But that has stopped now and she is resting. Although not very comfortably. I'm sitting in here with her to see if she progresses. I wouldn't be surprised if most people have stopped reading this because of all the delays :)
