Hi,

I take care of a feral cat colony that I discovered at a wrecking yard. I have trapped over 70 now, and 2 non-profits help me.   One organization spays/neuters/rabies shot every cat I trap and another organization feeds them.  My colony has a constant supply of dry and wet food as well as water.

I have domesticated 20 cats, some adults and some kittens, and placed 13 in good homes.

Does anyone out there have a similar experience?

Lisa

Wow!   You should definitely post to get the "friend of ferals" badge!   Those are some lucky cats to have you on their side.

Good for you! The world needs more people like you!

We took in 17 feral born kittens this past summer ranging between 7 days to 5 weeks old at time of arrival (2 of which now live with us, and all other survivors have been put into homes and are spoiled brats) TNRed 3 females and 1 male from the feral colony our neighbor's feed (which has gained 3 new members over winter...) and one of the females now lives in our house and spends about 70% of her time upstairs with us now instead of hiding in the basement after 4 months of living indoors and came up and touched me just the other day! (she's more of a shy/timid cat than wild. she's 2 years old, we've watched her grown since she was a kitten)
