I am sure that I have written about the 2 or 3 outside cats that hang around my apartment and the one that had babies and I took care of them and her and all that but I have some sad news about 2 of them. My momma cat and one of her babies that was about 2 yrs old both got hit by cars within a month of each other. I know that they were only outside cats and all I did was feed them really, but I was apparantley more attached than I thought because when I saw momma cat get hit I ran over there like a mad woman. (and I dont EVER run!!) I was prepared to take her to the vet without even asking hubby! but she did not make it. and the other cat I named gimpy because he had gotten into a fight and his leg got injured (and I had to take him to the vet and find him every day to give him antibiotics or else he would have had to get his leg amputated) I found him in the morning on the way to work, so I buried him later that afternoon. sorry to lay my sad story out here but I knew that if anyone would understand that all of you would!

Tarav-

How unfortunate & tragic.
I feel so bad for you.
Even though they were more like strays, they were a special part of your life.

I was amazed at your courage & dedication to capture & give antibiotics to a stray! I would have crumbled under the pressure! It was hard enough to capture an indoor cat to do this.

Bless you for being there for those special kitties.

I pray that they are watching over you and the other remaining cat.

You might find peace in the Crossing The Bridge forum. I did when I lost my cat.

Take care.

I am sorry to hear about your two ferals. I lost a feral I was feeding a couple of weeks ago. He too was hit by a car
I was and still am very upset about his passing. I didn't know it would upset me so much like you said.
Sorry again about your outside babies. May they rest in peace.

I SO understand how you feel. And you know what? YOU were the bright spot in their poor little lives! You were probably the ONLY good thing that ever happened to them--and you DID make a difference in their lives. I am so sorry you lost them --and in such close succession too. I know they are in a good place right now...and you will see them again...

I like to think that when we do see our beloved kitties again, the communication barrier will no longer exist. Then, my friend, those kitties will tell you just how special you were to them!
