Good morning, Happy TGIF, and Happy March 1st!!

Keeping on our food subjects,

The last time you went out for dinner, where did you go? And what did you order?

I went to Casa Sanchez, a local Mexican restaurant....they make the best margaritas! Went out with some friends from work back in January. I always order fajitas and these were delicious.

Yes.... happy Springtime to all those on the other side of the world, and happy Autumn to us !

I don't really go out to dinner.. does lunch count?  I had a lovely one with a friend yesterday... mango and cashew salad with a saffron dressing.  And an affogato for dessert.. YUm....

December when I met up with Susan and had burger and chips  

February we went to longhorn steakhouse. I had a shaved prime rib sandwich. Yum.

Last wednesday for dinner with friends,  and l had steak in merlot with potatoes and vegetables

But then l was with my old school friends on the Friday, and the girl who's house we meet up at puts food on and it's always like a banquet!!

We went to Simply Devine, which is in an old historic building in the next town.

We didn't know it, but on Thursday nights they have a "buy two entrees get a free bottle of wine" special. Score! :lol3:

We started with the grilled pizza of the day appetizer, which was a onion jam, cheddar, and sliced potatoes. I had the Lemon sesame chicken with rice pilaf and honeyed carrots. The chicken is described like this: Marinated chicken breast with tahini, lemon, soy and garlic. This dish has a nice light lemon flavor accented by the tahini. Aaron finished off with a chocolate pot de creme, which I had a spoonful of.

Not dinner, but lunch (actually lunch and dinner combined). Went to the Chinese Buffet -- yes I know I said I'd never go back there again because we eat too much -- but - well you know how it is! Famous last words.

Went to Olive Garden. I ordered some kind of chicken with side vegetables. For dessert, strawberry cheesecake.

We went to a local Italian place last Saturday for our "Valentine's Day" date.  It's a really great place.  I forget what I had; but it was made with their tortellini (amazing) and a brandy-cream sauce.  I also had a salad and their Italian Wedding Soup.  I have to have that soup every time we go.  It's as close to my Grandma's soup as I can find!
