I have had my kitten for 5 months.  She never had diareha and now all of a sudden she has it.  I have not changed her food.  She does not eat much dry so I give her two cans of moist a day.  Brought her to the vet and she does not have worms or Gardia.  Would you stop the moist food all together?  I know my 3 year old cat can not eat moist or it gives her diareha.  But the kitten has been on it for 3 months with no problem now all of a sudden she can't stop going!!  Acting fine.  Still playing,  Any suggestions on what to give her to stop the diarhea?  Thanks

I would not stop giving her wet food, as, IMHO, wet food is much better than dry.  What did the Vet say?  Did he give you anything to give her to stop the diarhea.  How long has it been going on? How bad is it?  Do you give her probiotics?  EXACTLY what wet foods do you feed her?  It could be she is having problems with one ingredient in the food.

In the meantime, you could try giving her a little bit of yogurt (just not "light" yogurt with artificial sweeteners).  Flavored is fine...some cats like flavored, although I usually give mine plain yogurt.  And for a couple of days you might just give her a really easy-to-digest food: boil chicken with nothing added, and make some white rice. Give her meals of shredded chicken in the boiled chicken water broth (no bone!) with some white rice mixed in. This is not a balanced diet, but for 3 days , it may help settle her tummy.  Of course, this all hinges on just what the Vet said.  (or didn't say!)
