My cat Eboni is pregnant and I'm SOOOOO looking forward to her having her kittens!! I was wondering what are something's I can do to help her become more comfortable and not stressed..Is it normal for her to be very cautious.?? She has been very restless and her stomach over the past couple days has become HUGE!! ..she is constantly licking herself down there and her abdomen area...how long do you think she Has until she pops?
Anything is accepted and I do intend on caring and keeping the kittens..I have friends who have spoken for the kittens.:)

One thing you may want to do is look into clinics to have her and the kittens spayed as soon as they will take them to be done.  Make appointments when they are 2 or so weeks old. Some places have a bigger wait then others and the certificate places need time to send them out.  Keep in mind she can get pregnant again as soon as she delivers

Some precontractions are not unusual in any way.  It may even be said to be a way of Nature to give some gymnasics for the muscles in question.

What you must watch out with, is long, unfruitful labor. Where she apparently has labor very long, and no result, just being tired.  In such a case you must contact a vet, and be ready to rush in.

It doesnt happen often, even very seldom - but still, the caretaker must watch out.

Good luck!

My cats are in the 7 week restless stage as well. With the baby's jumping around in there it can be very uncomfortable an even a little painful. Like a human at 7 months. I don't know how far your queen is, but from 6/7 weeks on their behavior is different then earlier in pregnancy. Waiting is SO hard!! XD

This is Duchess one of two pregnant queens I rescued so far this kitten season. She is acting the same way. Nesting, eating and cleaning is all she does now unless she is sleeping of course. She is a seasoned mommy being her 5th litter so I was told. My other girl is farther along but young and a first timer. She is slowing down but still running and playing. She is about 6 months old. I can't wait to see your babies!!!

65 days is an average length of pregnancy. So if you have any idea of when she mated then you can work out when she is due. But there can be a few days either way. How have you prepared for the birth? It is good to give her a choice of nesting places, put a couple of boxes in quiet places away from human or animal traffic, well equipped with old towels or cut-up blankets. You will need to change the bedding every day at first so have plenty of spares. Also I would get in a tin of KMR (kitten milk replacement) and a feeding bottle or needleless syringe from your pharmacy, in case her milk fails or she has too large a litter to care for properly. A scale measuring in grams is a good idea too - then you can weigh the kittens daily and be sure they are all gaining weight. It is very difficult to be sure just by looking. Good luck - and please post pictures as soon as you can after the kittens arrive - we all love pictures.

Yes I have set up multiple nesting areas and she seems to love the cat carriage so I was think to take to top off of it and put fleece blankets in there.. No kittens yet but I felt the babies and she isn't showing any signs except licking herself a lot as well as her abdomen and eating and sleeping A lot..:( I can't wait to see her kittens..:(

She looks quite a bit bigger than my black kitty that just gave birth, and mine had 4 kittens. Here is my Shilo on day 63--She delivered on day 65.

Best of luck to you and your beautiful mama cat!
