Help!! My Dad's birthday is in a few weeks and he can be so hard to shop for sometimes! My Mom's birthday is also coming up and she is so easy it's hard to not go overboard.
So far all I've come up with is a political T-shirt off Cafe Press for Dad. I'd like to keep his gift in the $20-$30 range. He lives out of state so I have to ship it to him regardless of where it can be purchased from.
Dad loves NASCAR (
) and smaller circuit racing (he used to race when he was younger, still has his cars), politics (VERY opinionated), snowmobiling, hunting (not as much as he used to), BBQing, hot/spicy food. He doesn't have any pets anymore. He has a girlfriend but I haven't met her yet and its a bit of a long distance relationship. Oh and he likes coffee and beer. lol
In the past I've done fleece pull-over shirts, Omaha Steaks, a travel mug with DD's pictures on it, a spatula for the grill with his favorite NASCAR driver's number on the flipper part. The end of the handle doubles as a beer bottle opener. Apparently the spatula was a huge hit with his friends because he had to call me for 2 of them because they needed to know where I got it.
I've done gift cards before too; just not sure where I should try this time if I go that route.
So I don't know what else to do! Any ideas?
I think he would like the shirt I found (checked with my cousin too) but that just seems like an odd gift and on the cheap side; though the shirt is not really cheap. Dad is generous when it comes to our birthdays and especially with the kids. He doesn't expect nice gifts or anything; I just want to use the opportunity to give something nice back to him.
