Hey. . . I don't want to hog the Cat Site Cookbook to myself here

Any more good recipes to contribute?

If so. . . please add them to the Favorite Family Recipes thread.

Great & exciting things are happening with this project! Be sure to join the cause! Hissy moved the cookbook idea thread to the SOS site - read carefully to see what's unfolding!

Don't forget to contribute your creative cookbook titles also (separate thread started by Hissy).

I definitely have some, just need to do the work of getting them out and typing them up.

Hey if you have it handy can you put the list here of categories where you could use recipes? I remember soups, drinks, and that's it and I know there were lots of others!

Thank you!!!!!!!

Right here! :)
I have to take the time to translate some recipes and type them here. I have have 2 in mind that have been in my family for centuries, but also one that is one of my favorites, that came froma an american cookbook. Do I post such recipes as well, or only the family ones?

Categories. . . . I don't think we have a specific list of them. . . . one of the members who is helping to organize all of the recipes did at one point mention that we need more vegetarian dishes, soups, and drinks.

We have a mixture of casseroles, meats, desserts, vegetables, etc. . .

A category has been added for cat treats & remedies.

This book is going to be so unique!

OMG! I just realized that I was lying, by accident though

Some of the recipes have been a favorite in my family for DECATES - not for centuries!!!

If I were to post recipes "my family" used centuries ago, I would be posting dried fish, smoked leg of lamb, blood and liver sausages, and all kind of meet having been kept in sour liquid for months, including lamb testacles and sheeps head!
We actually have one month a year, that is dedicated to the "old food", and then people actually eat sour lamb testacles, sour shark, sheeps head (which actually tastes very good
), but I don´t think I´ll include that in the cookbook!

Laure, the book "Pollýanna" was my favorite books, and I just love the philosophy in the book, which is why my Pollýanna has her name. Her name is also Scarlet, I find that suits her very well. Scarlet O´Hara was a very elegant woman, that did what she wanted, when she wanted,- if she wanted, just like a cat does. I aslo know a little girl with Scarlet as a second name, and she is so cute and cuddly.

Pollyanna-

Thanks for the laugh!
The cats might like some of those odd dishes

Reminds me of the horrible things that my parents used to eat. . . cow's tonque, head cheese, pig's feet & tripe. Gross!

I'm so glad I did not grow up in those days!

Categories thus far (and as editor, I reserve the right to change these at any time LOL!) * indicates a little low in this category right now:

Appetizers *
Side Dishes *
Breads
Soups *
Entrees - Breakfast Fair
Entrees - Poultry
Entrees - Meats
Entrees - Meatless ****
Entrees - Pasta's
Desserts - Cakes
Desserts - Cookies
Desserts - Other Delectibles
Drinks ****
Just for Jun
For our Furbabies - Orphaned Kittens
For our Furbabies - Healthy Recipes
For our Furbabies - Special Treats

Yes, it would be helpful to classify them, although I'm figuring it out pretty well as I go and will bug you if I'm not sure where to place it.
