this is the first ive noticed it (i saw him earlier this morning). but one eye is closed still while the other is mostly open. the one that is closed had this dark yellow crust over half of it. i got it off and is think and creamy like where it wasnt dried. right now nothing is showing after that. the other eye was slightly watery in the corner part of his eye.
should i isolate him from the other kittens? i read somewhere on google that u can use normal saline solution. would the Refresh optive eye drops work for that? what should i do?
im kinda on my own doing this because no vet wants to even help (seriously i thought people in that profession was in that profession to care for animals. not pick and choose by who has up front money (in my case the only one willing to take a look wants $625 up front(i suspect i was told that just to make me find elsewhere, but the other elsewheres are booked or not accepting new clients)(sry i needed to rant about the vet thing)

EDIT: i noticed he just got his eye open some and its pink. his eyelid and his eye ball.

Saline solution is OK as far as it goes, surely better than just water.  The problem is, this sounds like a vet errand...

I understand 650 dollars for a short look is nuts, probably a hospital emergency hours...

You can perhaps lend some money from someone? Having some money in hand, is easier to get a villing vet.

Good luck!

thanks
should i isolate him from the other ones? none of them have that.
and i do have money on me, also money in savings (but still not that much). its possible it is a ER type of charge, i'll call tomorrow and see if its still the same amount(hopefully a lot less)
thanks again! :-)

It may be wise to isolate, because you dont know what it is...

The problem is, being from moms charge and nursing, are also drawbacks...   Dilemma!.

Sorry, I cant come with clear cut advice. I see only there are pro- and contra...

Good luck!

It's not something to go to an emergency vet for but he does need seeing - he probably needs an antibiotic eye ointment.  My own vet would charge about £20 - $30 - for this including the ointment.  Ring around your local vets and ask what their normal consultation charge is and when they could fit in a kitten with a sticky eye,

You probably need to take them all - mum & kittens - to avoid stressing her by taking the kitten away and returning it smelling different.
