Our litter of two was born yesterday and weighed in at a great 149g and 146g. Today we weighed them and their weights have increased and they now weigh 163g and 155g. The problem is that the lighter kitten finds it harder to find a teet and when he does the bigger kitten will fight it away from him. It took me a while this morning to try and get the lighter one to latch on and then the other one just took it. Any suggestions?

Either let the bigger begin, so he has his favorite in firmly and well before the smaller do his tries.

(I hope the bigger doenst change his mind "just in spite"??).

another way may be like is often done with the runt of a litter of several: let him suckle when the bigger siblings are asleep...

Quite peculiar situation: they are just two, and yet they do have problems like they were at least 6....

A luck is, they are both big well above averadge.

Good luck!

They do seem to be doing a lot better than they were this morning. They're sharing nicely and finding it a bit easier to find the nipples. We are very lucky that they're podgy little puss'.

So long as they keep gaining weight at a reasonable rate don't worry about what it looks like at the milk bar.

There's enough milk for everyone at the milk bar!
