Things have been a bit difficult lately, so I've decided to give myself a gift.. I'm off for an aromatherapy massage this afternoon

I thought it would be interesting to find out...

What is your favourite pick-me-up treat?

A weekend trip is always good! :lol3:

For a simple pick me up, buying a good book, an excellent cup of coffee, a bar of excellent smelling soap or lotion, some flowers, etc. sometimes a small little thing can really make a difference. :)

Proper cooking, like everything from scratch, it always makes me feel relaxed and theres something good at the end of it, just last week I made mini banana cakes

Enjoy your afternoon!

I'm cheap......toss me a large bag of peanut M & Ms and life is good!

Seriously, when things get bad, I bake bread....for the same reasons that AJ posted. It makes me feel relaxed.

I'm dealing with a cold today so maybe some chocolate later after a good nap.

When I first open a book I've been wanting to read.  Reading is my form of total relaxation and a good treat without calories

I like horror shows, like The Walking Dead.  No matter how bad things are, I'm not being chased around by the undead in a post-apocalyptic hell-hole while I look for squirrels to eat.

I love horror movies too. Stephen King's It, Storm of the Century, Misery.

Love these answers... How great that cooking rates so well.. I hadn't thought of it before, but inviting some friends round for a meal is one that works for me... Feels good to give people something I've made myself, and I have the company of good friends.

I agree with Carol. Reading takes you into a whole new world --- a nice cup of coffee woud be good with a good book (and a kitty curled up next to you). Can't ask for anything more --- oh I thought of something -- Pam's home cooking!

Watching Japanese anime specially those with strange themes. Now I am having fun playing Ni no kuni in the PS3. Not only it takes me to another world but the animation was made by Studio Ghibli, a leader in Japanese animation.

I also like to have a glass of wine and chew on some good cheese while watching animes.

Yea, Chocolate is always good!!
I love a good massage too. Fortunately, I can trade w/ other massage therapist, which is good, sense I can't afford to pay for one.

Working full time at an office, I haven't had time, or energy to do that in a long time.  Now that I'm newly unemployed, I can do this again!

There's also something I try to do once a year for my birthday.  I line up trades for a massage, a facial, & sometimes acupuncture too.  I try to get them all done before my birthday, so then

I can just collect mine for my special "pamper day!"
I actually haven't had a massage sense my birthday in August, so I am defiantly due! Especially after loosing my job this past week!!
