My Queen is 58 days into her pregnancy, and getting ready! Colostrum in her lowest two nipples the past few days, noticed today that the rest are swelling up, can express small droplets from them. The kittens haven't been moving as much today or yesterday as they were, and she will not leave my side. Follows me around the house doing her little trill and chirp routine. She's got her birthing box all chosen out and ready. Excited for her little beauties to get here.

It's her second litter, the first was exactly two years ago, so we're hoping that everything will go fine and she'll have an easy delivery. Vet says everything looks normal and she's healthy (and heavy!).

Her doctor says that 58 days is a little early, but the size and development of the kittens is far enough along for safe delivery, and she's ready. Just waiting for the next step.

Asking for fingers crossed and wishes sent for my baby!

I ask for one week more, if it can be done, for me to be entirely happy.

Vibes send for any day they choose to come!

Good luck!

Still no babies yet, but lordy is she big! Both momma and the father are rather large themselves, so she may have some gargantuan little ones in there. If i gently press my hand against her side, i can feel a little head butt against my hand. On another spot there is a paw you can feel patting against her side.

She's been on high quality kitten chow, mixed with her favorite food. We've also been giving her a lot of kitty treats, the kind that are supposed to have good nutrients, and the ones that discourage hairballs since she's fluffy herself and I know she's going to be doing a lot of licking and cleaning in the weeks to come! She is also worm and flea free, so no need to worry about that.

Shes now about 62 days along, so we expect them any time. She's been to the litter box about 6 times today, with no results. I'm wondering if maybe she's feeling strain because its almost time.

Will post when it starts! (If it ever does!

She had what looked like a small contraction (her first) about two hours ago, and she's moody as can be. Keeps heading to the litter box, 5 times in less than an hour, only passed anything once. About every forty minutes she gets this rippling/wave motion across her side, not too big but enough to notice if I'm watching for it. Her breathing has started to pick up a little bit, but no mucous plug yet and her water's not burst yet. I've been monitoring her temp but at the moment she won't let me near there, so can't use that to help. Hopefully we'll have kittens before long! If she hasn't given birth by noon it'll be another vet visit just to make sure everything's still going good for her.

Nooo. I swear this girl wants her momma to have a heart attack. lol. Vet says the contractions aren't hard enough or painful enough to be a concern right now. She's not in distress or pain, its just prelabor. He said it can last up to 24 hours before he would start to be concerned. The contractions stopped for about 7 hours, and have just recently started back up. She still won't leave my side. She's also still going extremely frequently to the litter box, and she attacks my husband the dog and the other cat when they get near her.

Ah, time for splendid isolation. Just her and you her Mom.

No disturbing elements!  it will also get the labor to start on easier, if she feel safe and not stressed.

I mean, if she were best friend with the other cat and the dog, we could discuss to perhaps allowe them to be with her. But she shows clearly she dont want to have them around at this moment.

Good luck!

Normally she loves the other cat and tolerates the dog. She loves my husband too but yeah she's too moody right now. We've got her isolated to the living room with her box, food, water and a litter box. the dog is outside, and the other cat is in our bedroom.

Whats ya'lls opinion on sounds? Is television too much? Low music? soothing nature sounds? Nothing? Just curious what everyone thinks is best for relaxing the little queen.

Low relaxing music could work fine. it is really dont necessary, I dont think I had heard mention it... But relaxing music should be good.  Or classic calm music of Bach and Mozart.

Tx for the idea!

Sorry for not posting everyone! Been a crazy three days! Her labor stopped, didn't have contractions for the past couple days, no distress, no problems. She just wasn't ready then. got home at 8:30 last night to find her passing her mucus plug. First kitten born at 1:22 this morning. She had a long interval of sleep, next birthing was at 5, (several panicked calls to the vet, let me tell you! but she was just laying there cuddling the first little guy and purring.) Second and third kittens born together, twins from the same sack. More vet calls for this one. First little twin came out, super small, wasn't breathing, wasn't moving. suctioned a lot of nasty goop from her mouth, rubbed her continuously, and got some formula into her. Was iffy for a while, was too small and weak to stay latched to a nipple. she was 56.2 grams. After several feedings throughout the night and lots of attention, she's doing just fine and is going to make it! She's even been feeding on her own the last few hours. Her twin is healthy and happy, a little small but no problems. Kittens 4-7 came out 30/45 minutes apart. Momma did beautifully, no problems with any of the rest of them. All between 85-98 grams except the twins. All solid black little beauties. Will have to post pictures soon. i haven't slept in two days, sorry guys!

7 kittens, 1 boy, 6 girls.

#1 is a big chunky boy who won't stop eating. Named diesel, will be going to my sister.

#2 tiny girl, will be going to my brother and his girlfriend. She's been helping me bottlefeed and warm her, and totally fell in love. Named her Hemi.

#3 is a girl,  and so hyper. She moves and squeaks and crawls all over the place.

#4 is a girl, second biggest. She is named remington and going to my husbands best friend.

#5 is a girl, very relaxed and chilled out. Nothing seems to phase her.

#6 a girl. Another little chunker kitty. Eats like crazy, if mama's milk bar isn't available because she's standing or turned the wrong way, she head butts her until she turns around and lets her nurse.

#7 is a girl, and extremely cuddly. If we decide to keep one of the kittens this will be the one.

She had them at 67/68 days. Had me worried and waiting for darn near 10 days, she's been showing signs since around day 58. Then the contractions three/four days ago, around 63/64.
