I'm on FB and am very careful of who I "friend" and I don't play games there (I hate it when I go to FB and read that so-and-so had a new high score on this game or that game.....I don't care, but that's just me). Am also a member on a news/political-type site, an owner of a cat forum (it's very small, basically just a small circle of close friends), and a member of several forums about food and cooking. A friend recently gave up some of the responsibility to his forum as it was getting to be a bit much for him; he asked me to take over some of the responsibility for that. So we share our time there.

Anybody hear of TWOP (Television With Out Pity)? Interesting site......people talk about current television shows, but also about some of the old favorite shows. It's interesting and you get a lot of perspectives about some of the serial tv programs (not to mention a lot of snark!
) I'm a big Supernatural fan, so I spend time there, but I also go to some of the other shows, too, just to lurk and read.

There are some other forums I post on, too, from time to time. I probably spend most of my posting time here now.

TWOP sounds cool:)

I have a facebook but use it just for promos and stuff.  I can't stand the drama/issues it can create.  I prefer to do my own thing and lurk to many boards.  I do Yahoo Answers but some of the questions I really hope are fake regarding the pets section(cats and dogs mainly)

You can go in and change your email notification settings so that this does not happen.  I also find email notifications irritating.

I have a facebook account and use it to communicate with friends and some family.  Not with strangers.  This is the only forum that I am currently posting on.  I used to post quite a bit on a dog forum, a little on a horse forum, and I've looked at some other dog forums.  Oh, and a mouse forum when I had some questions about my small furry friend.  That's about it.

I'm on Facebook and I agree about the games. I never play any and hate reading about everybody's lastest score.

TWOP sounds interesting. Would love to hear more about it.

I 'm also on a small forum that Pam mentioned. It used to be much larger but unfortunately has dwindled over the years. Kind of sad, but I do try to check in and post there.

James Patterson is my favorite author, I've read about 60 of his books.  I go to his website but do not Twitter and I'm not on Facebook.

Over the river and through the woods...
I'm on FB, and I admit, I do play a few games. So, I apologize if anyone gets game posts from or invites from me. A lot of times the game sends them out, not the person playing them, which is really annoying. There used to be a way to block game posts but I don't know if that is still an option. Anyone know? I do know you can stop FB notifications from coming to your email but you have to redo it each time FB does updates, which can be 5 times a week. It does get annoying but I think FB is fun as long as you don't get drawn into all the drama. I just like to look at the animal pictures!

I do not have accounts, but visit FB sites for Randolph Mantooth (:heart3: ), and the Los Angeles County Fire Museum (caretakers of the vehicles used in the series Emergency! ).

I think, when you get a notice on the Home page, about a game, you can just hover over the upper right-hand corner of the post and it'll give you an option about not getting any more notices about that game.

I am on Facebook, but don't do any of the games, and I never do the apps that people invite me to do. I just think it opens you up to all sorts of hacking and spamming.
