I hate it too when all my messages from Facebook are in my hotmail account. it will say;Someone tagged you and with the games thing like you said is a pain in the rear.I'm on FB and am very careful of who I "friend" and I don't play games there (I hate it when I go to FB and read that so-and-so had a new high score on this game or that game.....I don't care, but that's just me). Am also a member on a news/political-type site, an owner of a cat forum (it's very small, basically just a small circle of close friends), and a member of several forums about food and cooking. A friend recently gave up some of the responsibility to his forum as it was getting to be a bit much for him; he asked me to take over some of the responsibility for that. So we share our time there.
Anybody hear of TWOP (Television With Out Pity)? Interesting site......people talk about current television shows, but also about some of the old favorite shows. It's interesting and you get a lot of perspectives about some of the serial tv programs (not to mention a lot of snark!) I'm a big Supernatural fan, so I spend time there, but I also go to some of the other shows, too, just to lurk and read.
There are some other forums I post on, too, from time to time. I probably spend most of my posting time here now.
You can go in and change your email notification settings so that this does not happen. I also find email notifications irritating.I hate it too when all my messages from Facebook are in my hotmail account. it will say;Someone tagged you and with the games thing like you said is a pain in the rear.

I think, when you get a notice on the Home page, about a game, you can just hover over the upper right-hand corner of the post and it'll give you an option about not getting any more notices about that game.I'm on FB, and I admit, I do play a few games. So, I apologize if anyone gets game posts from or invites from me. A lot of times the game sends them out, not the person playing them, which is really annoying. There used to be a way to block game posts but I don't know if that is still an option. Anyone know? I do know you can stop FB notifications from coming to your email but you have to redo it each time FB does updates, which can be 5 times a week. It does get annoying but I think FB is fun as long as you don't get drawn into all the drama. I just like to look at the animal pictures!
