This is my first post here and i need help.
My cat, who we didnt know was pregnant, is giving birth to her second litter.
The first litter was all healthy and no problems.
Last night she started acting weird and she pushed out a tiny baby in the hallway. Then all night she was meowing and acting weird. The vet told us not to stress too much.
I just went and checked on her and she has had another baby, both have been born dead and they are tiny. I dont know if she is miscarrying or what. Any thoughts or advice. I called the vet again but she said not to worry unless my cat was bleeding profusely.

This isn't something you should do on your own, unless you are really experienced with cats and birthing. I'd find another vet who will help you.

I'm hoping someone who knows a lot more about this will come along soon (it's not my areas at all)

Welcome and thank you for coming to our site. I am going to beg you to take your cat to a vet immediately, this is an emergency, hun. She needs medical attention right away. That is all anyone can advise you to do here on this site. Also, since you say this is her second litter, please; please consider getting her spayed. There are many low cost spay/neuter clinics in most cities. We can help you find one if you give us your location. Please post to let us know what you have decided. I am so sorry. :hugs: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Yes, it was miscarriage or possibly, a too premature delivery.  Kittens manage premature birth much worse than human babies, it may be just several days too early, and it is hopeless.

Here they were dead and tiny - I presume you mean much smaller than the first litter was.

They must have been premature more than just a few days.

The vets comment "dont worry unless the cat is bleeding profusely" looks peculiar, but she probably understood the kittens were waay too small, so there was no point of rushing THEM to the vet, or work on them.

It was the mom who was the concern. With bleeding profusely as the most dangerous, as it can happen with a miscarriage, being the most common big danger.

I would perhaps look after another vet, but Im sure it sounds worse than it was meant.

Anyway, unless you have some solid reason to want more litters, I would recommend you to spay your female as soon she has recovered.  If not by any other reason, so to spare her this happening again.

And please neuter the dad too.

Good luck!
