American Idol

Is anyone following Am. Idol this year? I vowed not to watch it, but still tune it in. There's one young man who comes from here in Naples, FL so we're following him. He's the one who has a bad stutter, but sings beautifully. I can't stand Nicki Minaj. Keith Urban comes across as a nice guy.

I'm just starting to watch it, I saw a little bit of Hollywood and I'll probably start watching for real now.  I'm just really over the stupid auditions and couldn't get myself to watch it before they got onto the decent singers.  I did hear that young man you mentioned, the one with the stutter, and he does have a really beautiful voice.

I can not stand Nikki Minaj. I also find it hard to believe that they guys that sand last night were some of the best. they were awful!

I only watch the auditions in the beginning. I like to see the ones who sound so bad. and don't forget the weird ones too.

That's funny, because that's the part I don't like and why I don't watch the auditions anymore.

I've been watching it on and off, not as much as I used too.  Maybe I'll watch it more often when they have their final few.  I also can't stand NM either, she talks through her nose which annoys me to no end.  Randy Jackson is starting to get boring also, I like Mariah and Keith but the show will never be as good as it used to be.  I hope Idol will go out gracefully after this year.  They have overstayed their welcome. In fact they should have quit after last year.

The Voice is my favorite singing show right now and their ratings are beating Idol.
 

I guess we all don't like Nicki. She make me wan to throw something at the TV! I agree that Randy is getting boring and kind of annoying also. I miss Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler. They were really good the last few seasons.

Same here   Maybe the producers of the show got her thinking her personality would attract viewers. WRONG

Yes when the auditions were on Nikki looked so bored at the beginning. I don't like her.

They weren't that great either especially Jlo.  She can't sing so how could she judge others?  Tyler always said the same things but he was funny at least.  The last two years was the beginning of the downfall of Idol in my opinion. Looks worse this year.

i don't find Randy boring, in fact sometimes I agree with what he's saying when the others are praising a performance I thought reeked. 

I don't like them having 4 judges to begin with and the one who should go is NM.  I don't see where she adds anything other than being annoying.

Last year and the year before there were singers that I liked, but so far I haven't seen any (just started watching) who have grabbed my attention.  Have to see how it shakes out next week.  Honestly, I watch it partly because there is just nothing else on worth watching except Big Bang for 1/2 hour on Thursday.

I also still can not stand Nikki Minaj! :lol3: I'm really not that impressed with a lot of the singers. I think they let some good ones go and kept some awful ones.

I really like Lazlo, I hope he makes it to the top 10 and does well. 

Most of the singers I find boring, but I'm not a fan of ballads.

Nicki has grown on me some, but I just can't listen to Mariah Carey.  I listen to the first 3 judges, then mute when she starts to talk.  Not sure why.  Four judges is too many, they make it all about the judges.  The judges talk longer than the singer gets to sing!

I don't watch much as I stated earlier.  I have been watching the case of Jodie Arias on Tru TV and HLN.  She is on trial for killing her X-boyfriend by shooting, stapping him 29 times and then slitting his throat.  She has admitted to it but says she doesn't remember doing it.  She is as guilty as sin as far as I can see.  That's what I have been watching instead of Idol.

I have seen this cause it is on for about 5 hours a day. I'm not into this at all.

Actually it's on a  lot longer than 5 hours a day.  It is getting boring,  I can't wait till it goes to the jury and they find her guilty, maybe she won't get the death penalty but I'm hoping she will get life at least with no parole. 

It's been taking  longer because in AZ the jury is allowed to ask questions and boy are they asking.  This girl is such a liar, it's incredable.

Sorry to derail, but I haven't heard of this trial.

Stabbed him 29 times?!?  Who  shoots someone, stabs them 29 times, and slits their throat without either:

A.  Being on drugs.

B.  Being a sociopath and/or just plain evil.

C.  Being systematically abused for years.

If you're female, admit to doing it, and are going to lie about it anyway, why wouldn't you at least claim C and say "Hell yes I did it, and here's why..?"

Note:  I'm advocating for neither murder nor perjury.  I'm just sayin'.
