My mama kitty is due any day now, and i was wondering if i could tell how long she has left by her temp? I checked it and its 98.0F. Does this mean she's close?

Yes, it seems to have dropped a little, 3-4 F, so it is close yes.

However, we dont recommend measurements in this situation, made by the usual way, into the behind. It is stressing to mom.  Do it only if it is an "emergency", for example you suspect fever coming.

They kittens come when they come, as we say.

Unless you do of course have such a modern thermometer measuring instantly in the ear, or so...

Or if you know your cat so well you can feel yourself if the temp is rising or falling...

Good luck!

You need to know what normal for that cat is before being able to say their temperature has dropped - it varies slightly from cat to cat.  And please don't go putting a thermometer in her rectrum.  You wouldn't like it, neither will she.
