Introduction

Hi I'm new to this site.  Found it after we lost our beloved Casey last week.  He was a 10 year old orange tabby and he was the very 1st cat I've ever had in my entire life!  Loved him so much we are devasted.  I hope to get another kitten when the time is right.  This site seems to be really great and I look forward to posts and information.

I'm a newbie to this website too. And I've also lost greatly beloved cats (I've started tearing up as I type). I strongly recommend starting to look for another cat(s). Casey can never be replaced but giving a forever home to a rescue would be a tribute to your love.  

Thanks, I know I've been going back and forth in my head about that too.  One minute I think we should go out and find a new kitty, and then I get so sad I can't even think about it.  I know it will take time.  Our vet, it's actually a cat hospital said that in the spring they will be getting kittens and we can have our pick of which one we would like, if that's what we want to do.  So, we'll see.  I know we just need some time. 

Consider a pair of siblings (our last 2 adoptions have been such). They can amuse & lick & chew on each other and, from a selfish perspective, provide *you* with a lot of entertainment! Two cats require the pretty much the same amount of upkeep as one *and* you're saving TWO lives.

Im so sorry to read about Casey, I to recommend if you can a pair of cats when the time is right, they keep each other company as well of hours of fun for you.  Only you will know when its right for you  

Yes, you are both right.  Two might be fun.  We're not ready yet still too sad.  The time will come, but not quite yet.  thanks.
