This is very urgent matter. Please help me.

Some time back, my neighbour adopted a mother cat with 6 kitten (juz below our house by the staircase). After sometime, the mom cat went missing but she kept the kitten. Now all are adults, have mated & have 11 kitten in all, 3 to 4 mths old. She have chased out one male cat during mating season & now he is nowhere to be seen.

3 weeks ago, she wanted to go outstation and as usual, wanted me to take care of them. I kept the 11 kitten in my house in a 3-stack condo and let the mom cats feed their babies on & off. Then after a week, she came back & was reluctant to take them back as she said she is too sick to care for them.

If I forcefully send them back, she wants to abandon them (as usual) at the food stall by the busy street. Am sure all of them would be run down by passing vehicles just like all her previous cats & kitten. Its a very pathetic situation for the babies.

Please help me to find adopters as soon as possible. I already have 21 cats at home. 3 out of my 24 cats died in November & December 2012. My jobless & cashless situation is a big obstacle to manage my expenses.

Please HELP me.

Thank you for taking care of these precious kitties. It sounds like a difficult situation for everyone.

Where are you located? There might be TCS members near you who can help, or at least direct you to some resources in your area.

It is no easy solution for you, but the long term advice is to spay them everyone...  So there will not be more and more of them.

Begin with the females, if you dont afford to do them all.   try to find a cheap veterinar, and try to agree to get a group rabate.

Perhaps you can find some sort of rescue group, or Animals Friends, who may help you with the costs of spaying...

Next step is for you to try and find adoption homes for them... Preferably in pairs. It is easier to have two cats than just one.  Seek among your work comrades, neighbours, temple members....

Good if the adopter do pay something. For most people, what is for free is practically worthless.

If it feels awkward for you to ask for money, ask the adopter to pay a sum to some charity in the cats name.  Use a charity you both are comfortable with.

Welcome to our Forums!

Good luck!

Welcome and this is what happens when these cats don't get neutered. :sigh: You have a good heart and I understand your dilemma with this neighbor who doesn't seem to care one bit about the cats/kittens. We would like to know where you are located? Are there no TNR organizations in your area? No rescues to at least come and help get them trapped/neutered? You do have your hands full already with 21 cats. I can tell you try to help them all best as you can. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for the cats/kittens.

Mathavi, I notice that you are in KL.  Your cats could be described as street cats as the owner does not want them and that is where they will end up if you are unable to keep them (and I understand that is difficult).  Is is possible to contact http://myanimalcare.org/about/   ?

They say that they can provide some help for people under the following guidelines:

Our funds are open to NEEDY  individual caregivers of street animals.
NEEDY = Those who have no means of raising funds on their own.
Individual = Those who do not belong to any animal welfare organisation.

Late Sabrina (EX-SPCA) helped with neutering of some of my cats. Some, I neutered on my own (while I was employed), Chan Kah Yein (MYANIMALCARE) helped to neuter about 10 cats (& paid the acupuncture treatment bill my cat Seenu for gum infection), Dr Suzanna Bridda (Acupuncturist Vet) helped to neuter 4 cats (she is the dr who treated Seenu) & beginning of February, Wani/Mandy of MDDB helped to neuter my final batch of 3 rescued kitten. Wani/Mandy also agreed to my requests to help neuter my neighbour's 6 cats (3 male & 3 female, parents of the 11 kitten).

But now MYANIMALCARE's policy is changed, they dont help PETS with owners but only strays, for treatment or catfood. All of mine are considered to pets, SO no help. I have already approached her. She could only help to post my request & the furry babies photos. For neutering, I need to get them neutered first & can claim 50% back by submitting the bill/receipt. My case is quite critical. I need catfood & medical treatment if any of my cats fall sick. Recently, I lost 3 cats to sickness, juz because I coldnt treat them. I even asked Chan Kah Yein to help Seenu but she rejected because he is a PET. I LOST him on 26th December last year & my whole family have been mourning for him till now. He was such a loving, pampered 8 yrs old baby who eats only from my mom's lap. I know I had given him a good life but parting with him was just too painful. I can feed the strays & leave them outside, but I didnt do so. Its too risky here as I have seen many many cats run down by cars & die pitifully. As such, I vowed to rescue & keep them with me & have been doing so for the last 30 over years. I simply cant change myself, too bad.

I am a 52 yrs old jobless single parent. I am caring for my 78 yrs old sickly mom who is not so mobile & wobbles about with the aid of walking frame. She is a diabetic & heart patient who also has diabetic ulcer, hernia, ear, eye, knee, spine problem & recently diagnosed of irregular heartbeat which could be fatal if she falls. Drs told me to be very careful as she had 2 attacks in the last few years. She has appts at least once a week. I dont have anyone to take care of her & I cant work at a distant place. I seek a job close by my area so that I would be able to reach her during emergency. My 17 years old son awaiting his SPM result & I cant depend on him much.

I even wanted to try online biz but need to invest which I cant afford. Most of them are scams too.  PM me for contact info.
