If my pregnant cat is eating grain free protein 46% and fat 20% why does she need to eat kitten food that has less of both? My breeder said she should be on a high quality kitten food wet and dry. I also cannot get her to eat any wet. My breeder said she should have been getting wet all along but cannot offer me any tips to get her interested. Any advice? She is 4 weeks prego. A snowshoe.

The grain-free food is probably "all life stages" and should be fine. You can also give her some kitten formula to drink (if she likes it) for extra nutrition.

As for wet, have you tried a lot of different flavors/brands? The moisture would be good to keep her hydrated, especially when she's nursing.

It is "all life stages". I have tried verus, evo, bff, I have plenty more to try and will keep on trying. She takes one or two nibbles and then walks away. Her brothers think they are all yummy!! Thanks for the tip about kitten formula.
