Hi Folks - My little guy (9 month old tabby) just chewed and swallowed the tiny end of a tag that you get when you buy new clothes. I had cut the end off of the tag, so only maybe a quarter inch or less was left with the nub. I am hopeful bc it's so small that it will pass OK. Called the vet and they just said to watch for lethargy, vomit, diarrhea, so hopefully it will come out in the next 24 hours. They didn't seem concerned. Anyone want to reassure me?

Hi Smelillo. Of course you'll want to keep a careful eye on him to be safe, but I just wanted to say that my cat has eaten a few things he shouldn't have and he is just fine. Try not to worry to much. He will probably pass it out or throw it up. Now that you know he likes plastic try to keep it away from him. Mine seems to like it too for some odd reason.

Thanks for the reassurance! What kills me is I was literally about to throw it out, turned and he was chomping on it. Anyways, so far so good, he is his normal active self and eating and going to the bathroom. I am going to have to re-kitten proof my house again ha.

Agree with Smitten4Kittens: just watch carefully for all the signs your vet said to watch out for, including change of behavior for the better or worse.  (Ritz tends to be more cuddly when she doesn't feel well.  And sleeps more.)
