I love black cats

There is just something about them.  They are so slick and beautiful

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for black cats, they do look mysterious and sleek with their golden or green eyes so vivid against all that black. Also since people have some kind of phobia about them. I believe if a black cat crosses my path it's GOOD luck.
 

I love them too! My next kitty will be all black.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  We have one black cat, Blackberry.  I've never understood superstition about black cats.  Blackberry is the sweetest of my entire crew.

One Friday the 13th when I was in high school we had two black cats run in front of my car on the way.  I was going that day to animal control to check out what was there and likely adopt a new kitten.  My brother and I took it as a sign that I was going to select a little black baby.  After all, black cats are a favorite of my mom's and mine!  Got to the animal control center that afternoon and the only things available were four little lovely tabbies.  Oh well, that's how my family ended up with Jason (named for the day he was adopted, of course...)

I didn't get my black kitty that day, but then Stella showed up in my life in October.  On one hand I was really kind of excited at happening upon a little black kitten, but sad that I couldn't keep her.  And that she turned out to be a female as I prefer males.  Time passed, I fell in love with my little black baby, got over the female thing, and jumped through hoops to get to keep her.  I've always loved black kitties best, but ended up with a white pointed one and a tabby.  I would have loved her just the same if she had been another color, but I do prefer her black fur!

After I found her I tried to find her a new home, but two of the three people that showed interest in her ad (I didn't post a photo because she is a black cat and it was a couple of weeks from Halloween) decided they were not interested in her anymore when they found out her color.  So sad, but it was fortunate for me.  I now have my tabby Friday the 13th kitty and my black Halloween kitty!

Oh yes, and I definitely prefer black cats to white cats.  That's kind of mean for me to say since I also have a mostly white pointed kitty, but I just think that black cats are gorgeous.
