hi, lol so i finally cracked down and decided to join and post here.
i took in a stray back in the last few days of november. (more like she deemed my house as hers lol cause she came in while i was moving in and apparently she doesnt get near any of the neighbors here before that.
shortly after that i took her to the vet and got her some shots and checked over. and she had a uri so she had four weeks worth of an antibiotic shot. i brought up that her titties looked diffrent than normal kitties. and the vet was like "shes just fat. cats that are feral stock up in the winter to stay warm. and cats dont get pregnant during the winter seasons" and well, it is VERY obvious that she is pregnant (that or she swallowed a watermellon that likes to move around in her tummy lol)
shes the type of cat that is clingy and makes me wonder if she is going to give birth right on my lap. she has many places scoped out. one being the box i made her back when i thought she was due (about a month ago) lol.
shes eating well, looking well, and such(ive done a lot of reAding)
im wondering if anyone can help me tell when about she might be giving birth... or any advice (we are both first timers in this). i have another cat and her name is abby, while my preggo kitty is Cassie. ive had to try as best as i could to keep abby from getting under cassies skin(as best as i can do in a small effienecnt appartment (willl be in a bigger place in a few weeks). but cassie has started attacking abby (unprovoked). then today she has started meowing a bunch whenever i move or go somewhere away from her. shes laying and sleeping for almost every hour today. i can see and feel the kittens moving (the kittens started moving a few weeks ago) now they are more rough with their moving than before. and its almost like i can pet them through her tummy (only way i know how to explain it). her ears and tail say shes aggitated.
i also have kitten stuff, like heating pad, towels, emergency kitten formula kit thing, and some more things.
:-) im so excited but ive been thinking shes going to give birth any moment now for about 2-3 weeks now lol.

Cats are pregnant for just over 9 weeks - up to 70 days (10 weeks) from first mating.  10 weeks ago today is the 4th December so I think she got pregnant after you got her.

The FAB has some very good information, and if you have a problem I hope your vet is better at helping than he was at reaslising she might have been pregnant:

http://www.fabcats.org/breeders/infosheets/breeding_from_your_cat/felineparturition.html

Giver her her own room, don't let your other cat in.  And you need a set of electronic digital scales that weigh in grams - kittens should put on 10g or more most days and failure to gain weight is often the first sign of trouble.

Weighing them each day at about the same time and keeping a record is the best way to see how they are doing.

As with human babies they often lose a little weight just after birth but should rapidly make it up.

thanks. lol but i dont know how she would of gotten preggo after i took her in. my other cat is a female and is spayed. she had no free contact with the outside.
but as i mentioned in my first post, sadly i dont have anywhere that could give cassie her own room. i have an effiencincy appartment and it doesnt even have a closet. (i think by the time i get into the new place she will prolly have her kittens). but i do have a spot in the counter thats in my "kitchen" that shes also taken a liking to. and the cabinet door she can easily open and close herself lol.
im unsure how to do right with both of my cats. cause cassie has the run of the place and i treat her as fragile so cassie has became spoiled. while abby has to sleep in her cage up on the bed with me because of the aggression that has been starting up. abby seems very content when like that, but i still dont like doing that. and abby has the cage claimed as hers so swapping cassie and abby out every night i am afraid it would do more bad than good to the both of them.

where can i find these weight things at? ive actually looked when i was stocking up on the kittens arrival stuff. but ive not found any weights at walmart or petsense. (all ive found are the human scales and in tv shows (like cats101) ive only seen them use these round looking weighing scales).

poor girl lol when she gets up and sits, her belly hangs down over her back legs on the floor and when she wobbles (walks) her titties drag on the floor sometimes (theres a few of them that have a big pocket under them- while some still have not that much under them)
any thoughts on when she may have them? thats what i was hoping to find out too lol :-)
Thanks again! :-)

I just searched on Amazon for a "scale in grams" and it brought up food scales.  I would think that would work for the purpose of weighing kittens.  Can someone confirm that?  The ones I saw were around $15.

Yes, kitchen scales are perfect.  New-born kittens are less than 100g, by three weeks they are 400-450 grams on average, so kitchen scales are accurate at those sorts of weights.

Using grams avoids decimal points which you would need to deal in with ounces, and 10g is an easy number to remember.

lol thanks :-)
not a very good picture but this is them this morning.
im a bit worried (ok a lot worried lol), there is one that isnt getting into the feeding group and didnt take to the bottle idea. they are ALL suposed to look bloated right now right? i am worried cassie doesnt have enough milk. she doesnt have much of a milk pocket under her titties this morning. they are all quiet right now tho (they seem to get in a group squaking fest when they are hungry and cassie goes running back to them.)
cassie meows at them but they cant hear yet, can they?

The best way to know how they are doing is to weigh each one, each day, at about the same time.  They should gain at least 10g most days.  A cheap set of electronic digital kitchen scales are fine, and weighing in grams is easier than ounces as you won't have to deal with decimal points.  The results need recording - I use a spreadsheet.

If they have just fed her breasts will be empty.

They can't really hear at first but they can sense heat and vibration.
