Hi
I've recently adopted a 4 month old blue kitten and a 9 month old black & white shorthair.
My primary concern is that I all ready have a 7 yr old tabby who has had health issues in the past. I've taken both cat's into my vet and had checked out, vaccinated and tagged. The 9 month old had been eithee hit by a vehicle and has a broken femur and rarely comes out. My kitten and him have made FAST friends. My concern is that as of a few days ago my tabby is barely eating and hiding most of the day now. On my way to work I found a yellow spot of cat vomit this morning which really worries me. A year ago my tabby almost died from an "unknown" disease and I had to keep him at the vets for a few days. He eventually beat it but is now showing the same symptoms. Could this be brought on from stress? The rescues have been there over a month now and he get's along with them both. I don't know what I can do as my budget is next to nothing now as I've started a new job.

I am so sorry your post slipped through without being responded to.  Please update the condition of your cats and I will make sure it doesn't slip past me again.

Yes, it could be caused by stress, but it seems more likely he ate something that he shouldn't have.

Im sorry too  I nor any other did answered...

How is it at this moment??

What to do to downgrade stress? Feliway diffuser is often good. They arent very cheap, but they are cheaper if you buy on Amazon or Ebay.

Calm soft music is often useful. Best is classical harp music, but almost any relaxing music will do.

Also such things as having several food places, several litters... So they dont need to use one everybody, if that is bothering them.   In a cat who is a little unsure on himself, such meeting places may be a stressing moment.  Compare with a human who is a little awkward meeting people. Even if they are essentially friendly, and even if he essentially does enjoys peoples company.

Reduce this persons stress moments, and then you will understand the cat...

Welcome to our Forums!

Good luck!

Just read this, I think your cat is stressed and or eaten something wrong. If you can get you cat in a cat harness, not a collar and a leash. Take it outside for some fresh cat grass, she will know what to eat. You may want watch how the others interact with it. Does she have a cat pole to climb on to get away from the others? If this is the one that was hit by a car, she may be in pain like we get arthritis. You may want to check into some Meds or acupuncture.
