There is only me & my husband living here so I have to do it. He would never clean the box or just scoop in between. He didn't even change a diaper when our 2 kids were born ! He loves those 2 cats and if anything happens to me he would take care of them.

I do the twice-daily scooping (once in the morning and once right after dinner). Wednesday is usually trash night and that's when we dump the litter out and scour the boxes.....needless to say, we are not fond of trash night.

It's my job, too, I scoop twice a day at least. We use a huge covered plastic tub for our litter box (I cut out an opening on the side) and I'm the one who scrubs it out every couple of weeks - it holds half a 40 lb. bag of SwheatScoop and takes about 20 minutes outside to dump, clean inside and out, dry, and refill.

When I am out of town or have the flu or something, my husband takes over with the scooping. He'd clean it out, too, if needed but so far haven't asked his help in doing that.

DH does the scooping, twice a day.  But when it's time to completely replace the litter / clean the box, that is my job.

My kids have started saying the cats are theirs, so I decided they should help take care of them.  My 4-year-old scoops daily and I do the weekly whole box clean-out.  It's actually more work for her to do it because she tends to make a mess, but it's teaching her to care for her pets.

I scoop, DH is in charge of dumping and reloading with litter. I have heart problems and struggle with the weight of the litter and boxes.

Its just me so I do it all. I scoop a minimum of twice a day, more if I am off and around. Delilah hates a dirty box and will promptly find a different place to go if the box is not to her liking, and it is not to another box either, she only likes the one. She has only done this twice luckily, I keep the litterboxs pretty clean for her.

It's never happened to me, but I have three young children so it takes more than a little poop to phase me.  lol

Lucky there Tara my husband would never touch it. I would have to be dead and him by himself before he would do it.

It's just me and my hubby. OMG, I would seriously faint if I ever saw Larry scooping out the litter boxes. :thud: I have to be gone this Sunday, all day, and I bet he won't do it then either. AND if he does, he won't do it right!!!!!! :wife: He will probably break up all of the clumps and make a mess of a mess. That is probably why he doesn't do it, because he knows I am too anally retentive about the litter boxes. :lol2:
