I was wondering what is the worst thing you don't want to do when it comes to housework ?

Me ? It may have to be dishes or laundry. We moved to a smaller apartment last August and we don't have that much room to clean. But the good news is the laundry mat is right outside my front door.

And I know the cat box has to be cleaned so I do it with out complaining but sometimes I do gag cause I have a very weak stomach.

Dragging out all the garbage!  It reproduces on the side of the house I think. Laundry I enjoy except washer is in bad spot and I wish it was in its own room so I could hang cloth with out kittys "help"

Laundry and bathrooms.  And the sad thing is- we aren't even doing the kids' laundry anymore.  The 16 year old does all of her own.  And when my 19 year old comes home on breaks from school, she takes care of hers.

The bathrooms are tiny and take maybe 15 minutes max to clean.  It's just a yucky job.  Ours needs to be re-done- it's just something not in the budget right now.

I take care of the cat box.  Not my favorite chore either.  But I have to admit- cleaning a box for 1 cat is a whole lot easier than 3.  Especially when 2 out of the 3 cats were having issues (one had some kind of cancer that was making him not want to poop in the box, I think the other one was having kidney issues).  It's inside the half-bathroom downstairs.

Because of my back, pretty much all household chores are bad.

I actually love to clean, but so far as what causes me the most discomfort to do so I tend to not like doing it so much, are vacuuming, washing floors and taking out the garbage.

1) mopping hardwoods

2) cleaning the bathroom

3) vacuuming

I only have to mop the floors any more, the rest of the family helps with the other chores around here. Hey we all make the mess we all get to clean it, no free rides.

Over the river and through the woods...
Housework?? I don't like doing any of it!

The worst for me is probably the dishes. We don't have a dish washer so everything gets washed by hand. It's just a never ending battle...you get everything cleaned up, put away, feel so proud of yourself...then it's time to make dinner, hence more dirty dishes. Kind of like making the bed. What's the point (other than having clean dishes. The bed thing make NO sense to me! lol)

Yep, I hear you on the dishes. It's a never ending cycle. But I don't really mind doing them so much. I hate dusting though. Such a hassle, and then in a couple of days everything is dusty again!

You know, the day I don't feel like making the bed, when I get in it that night the sheets are all pulled to one side, or the bedspread is always short on my side and long on his and it drives me crazy! (short drive!) I think the chore I don't like the most is mopping the floors, but thank God I have a husband who does it often (probably cause I don't do it often!) I would much rather be outside weeding or watering and I hear about it!

I think I don't like any housework.  I don't mind vacuuming or doing the laundry, but anything else, I have to really be in the mood for it.

As for beds - I agree with the what is the point in making them when you're just going to un-make them in a few hours

Dishes, & laundry for me. It's nice that you can get other things done while the laundry is going, but it just takes sooo long, then, you still have to fold!

I think if you don't like to do dishes wash them as you go and that way you don't have them so piled up all at once. And then you can enjoy dinner.

Folding laundry and taking out the trash. I could wash laundry all day that doesn't bother me, I just hate sorting and folding. I hate taking out the trash, mostly because the dumpster is so far away.

Litterbox changing. We have 9 cats, and as many boxes in the garage, and 1 in the house (for Margie).  I empty and scrub them each week, in the COLD garage (we've a laundry sink we use only for litterbox cleaning). I also sweep the floor every day, and mop it once a week. The house litterbox gets emptied at least twice a day, as, though it's for Marge, you can't stop tjhe other 8 cats from using it!

Most of the garage activity takes place at night, which means it's FREEZING out there, even with the electric fireplace I turn on before going out there. I don't have time to do it before work. I need what little sleep I get.

I don't mind washing dishes, in fact the hot water feels good on my arthritic hands. It's a good thing because between myself and 3 raw fed cats, I am always washing dishes. But I hate putting them away. I hate putting away laundry too. I don't know why. I just hate that chore, putting away dishes or laundry. The rest doesn't bother me, I don't mind cleaning, I'd rather dust the book cases or scrub the tub than put the laundry away, LOL.

Even as a kid I hated putting dishes and laundry away. I wonder what that is? :lol3:
