wasnt entirely sure where to put this, so put it in tthis section.

we have been thinking of doing this for some time now but putour names down the other day to start fostering with the cats protection league (uk). this afternoon we were visited by two of the senior members who came to check us out and have a chat about how it all goes.

we are now very keen to get involved and are hoping to go to the annual general meeting on tuesday evening to show our faces and try to learn some peoples names!

we wish we could take in all the poor homeless kitties in the area, but if we can just do our bit, then at least we are helping!

just hope we dont get too close to the cats and we cant bare to let them go lol!

Bless you for fostering cats/kittens; the need is great.

I envy you, and your willingess to foster cats.  Right now I don't have the time, and my resident cat is a prima donna.  I take care of a community cat colony and through that removed some cats from the colony and co-fostered / socialized the cats.  While we adopted out all of them, one or two were hard to let go.  But I knew it was for the best, for them.

Kind of like children:  you love them but you gotta leave them for their own emotional growth and happiness.

So you've decided to open your heart and home...what a wonderful thing you're doing!!!

I have the greatest respect and admiration for folks who foster.  As Ritz said, the need is great and there are never enough foster homes, so becoming a foster cat parent will indeed be a blessing for some lucky kitties who will come your way.   Hope you will share their stories with us.

In the Book of Life, this gets you a huge gold star.

indeed, im hoping i may just make it into heaven after all! haha!

but seriously, it makes me so sad to think of all the homeless kitties out there, we just decided we have to do something to help. we have got a couple of spare rooms so will at least be making use of them, who needs a dining room and a spare bedroom anyway!

were off tomorrow to the A.G.M on the evening, so will be good to meet the group and show our interest. wish us luck!

You guys have got a great attitude and big hearts!   Many people feel sorry for homeless cats, but only a few of them will actually go out and do something to help, whether it's volunteering at a shelter, doing TNR, or the exceptional few who foster.

Wishing you the best of luck, but you don't need it - you'll do great!

I take my hat off to you. ! Fostering is a great thing to do. If I had a bigger place I would probably do the same thing.

Ii only have 2 cats Bella 3 years and Thunder 8 months.
