Hello all,

new to the forums here...well new to any forums really but i really like this site so i decided to give it a shot.

i adopted a 1 and a half year old female kitty from a friend last Christmas...when i brought her home i was told she was in heat and it seemed to be true from all her mewing....well she is pregnant....and very vocal...

her name is Meleena but i call her meany. this is a funny nick name concidering she has yet to meet a stranger and i doubt that she could hurt a flea. meany has been a very active cat and vivacious eater until yesterday. seems all that she wants to do is sleep. she has not ate her wet food at all today and the only movment i have seen was when she will folow me to the restroom and to switch what side she is laying on. i have no clue as to how far along she is but im guessing by the size of her tummy that has seemingly blew up in the last two weeks and gotton hard as a rock that the babies should be here soon. i had her scedualed to be spayed but when i realized she was prgnant i did not have the heart to abort the babies...ill probley keep them all lol.i will however be getting her fixed soon as posible after the babies are born. meany is a strictly indoor cat and stays mostly in my bedroom and there is not a great chance of her getting pregnant again but as i have had a hyterectomy myself think that she might enjoy not pmsing or going into an unsatisfied heat again. dear hubby was suposidly allergic to cats but has yet suffered any reaction to meany. matter of factly i tease him that she is his cat as she shows him more attention than she does me and YES im jealous... peaople are amazed that the cat stays in our bedroom and you can not even tell there is a cat in the house...i owe that to the awesome gift hubby got us...the scoopfree auto litter box...this thing is amazing...i love my cat and she has brought a true joy to my dismal life...i am very sick and she comforts me. my blood pressure has decreased since getting her to the point i was able to go off of my bp meds...i am a very happy cat owned human. nice to meet you all!!!!

Nothing like cat therapy, is there..?
How wonderful that having your new friend has helped you come off your meds.

There's lots of advice here, and some brilliant help for those with pregnant girls.. here's a link you can go to to post any questions or just look stuff up:
