Olivia aka Diva Dog is a rescue
She was rescued by our local animal shelter when she was 4 months old. Her previous owner had kicked her so badly they broke her hip so the ball of her hip joint had to be removed and the upper leg bone reinserted to form a new hip. We adopted her at 5 months old after her surgery. Olivia spent most of her puppy life in a crate healing or a puppy playpen to keep her from reinjuring her hip until it healed. This lasted close to 4 months.
Olivia has loved cats from the moment we met her at 5 months old. In the shelter she would sit by their cages and talk to them. She always has to stop by the kitty cages when we bring her back to visit or on her way to physical therapy. You see Miss Olivia has to go to Water Treadmill therapy weekly because of her hip injury. I can't tell you what wonderful things the therapy has done for her. At one point she was having so much trouble with her leg that the knee cap was slipping out of place and we feared we would have to do another surgery. We decided to try the water therapy route before putting her through another surgery and I am happy to report her knee is awesome no slipping and her hip is great! We have decided to keep taking her weekly as she enjoys going and it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Anyways back to Olivias kitty love story. We always have cats sometimes only a couple, sometimes more than a couple
and she has tried to love everyone of them but sadly they have not loved her back no matter how hard she has tried to win them over.
Recently I tamed a feral kitten named Bandit and the love story begins. Bandit took a liking to Olivia and her life became complete she had a kitty of her very own. I believe these 2 will be friends forever.
