I'm so sick of winter and I can't wait for spring to finally get here.  I live in SE Minessota, and we haven't had much snow in my little corner of the state until now thank goodness but we have had windchills as low as minus 35 degrees below zero which is life threatening!!!!!
About three weeks ago we had an ice storm that left glare ice everywhere which made walking outside at all very difficult.  There is still a lot of left over ice on sidewalks and driveways, and it didn't help that just this week we started getting snow every day on top of all that ice.  And finally, this weekend the meterologist are talking about a storm that will start out as rain Saturday night and then change to snow, which means even more ice!  Like i said earlier, I just can't wait for spring to finally get here!!!!!

You and me both!!! it's been winter here in Saskatchewan since mid-October.Granted, the two feet of snow in October melted but it's been gloomy ever since and there has been an average of a storm a week all winter. I haven't been off the yard in two weeks - cannot get out but going to dig and pile snow today and tomorrow and MAYBE can get out by Monday. I no longer rely on getting out every week for groceries, but bring home enough for a month at a time. Worse, it snowed again yesterday, adding another few inches to the many feet we already have and I am running out of room to park the stuff; it sounds odd since I have enough land but cannot get to the old areas where I put it before as they are blown in to a depth of 3-6 feet.

When this melts, I'm gonna need an ark!!!!

That sounds like here, though our temperatures haven't been anywhere near that low. We've had a combination of snow, rain and/or ice for weeks on end, with black ice the past three Sundays and Mondays. I'm convinced I'm not going to make it through this winter without some broken bones, as I've already fallen several times.

Ice is the worst. Freezing rain and rain/snow mixes so you don't know what you'll wake up to in the morning and having to scrape and salt the sidewalks. Ugh, wish I could just enjoy the nice fluffy snow and have fun in it! It must've be fun as a kid in this kind of weather (we didn't have snowy winters where I grew up).
I shouldn't be complaining as our winter hasn't been too bad so far - I've actually complained about the lack of snow. It's the nasty cold wind that really gets me. You can't go out and do anything in those brutal windchills.

I don't even want to think about spring yet. I used to love spring when I lived up north. Down here, it was nearly 85*F Wednesday .... looks like spring will be like summer, and summer will be like purgatory again!
