Thinking about all of you. I hope your power stays on, especially. Although for Karen it seems too much to hope...isn't it YOUR power that goes out at the drop of a hat? :(
Yep, that's me! :lol3:

. We have no idea what's going on.
We keep hearing different things also Pam.  The latest is 4 to 8 inches which is a little less than they predicted yesterday.  I ran out to the library this morning to pick up 3 more books since who knows when I will be able to get out again.  I cannot be without any books, I'd go nuts.

It has been doing exactly what they were saying tho, it was raining when I left which turned into a mix of rain and snow as I was driving.  Coming home it was getting blustery and I could hear sleet hitting my windows.  The library is only 3 miles and this weather change happened in the 6 mile round trip.  This is going to be a doozy.

The library was closing at 3pm today instead of 5pm, lots of companies are letting their people out early if it gets bad.  Stay safe everyone.

Hope everyone is safe during this snowstorm.

Don't forget - the invite is still open to come on down here to visit us. Extra bedroom is ready to go.

Starting to come down now. I am still at work, and hoping they'd let us leave early... and hopefully I won't have to go to my other job tomorrow. So lazy!!

Seeing all my friend's updates on FB about the snow in NJ is actually making me kinda sad and very homesick ....

Right now I hate SC. Of course, they all want to come down because its 70 and sunny. (Yesterday it was in the 50s, the day before, 80s... so many people getting sick!)

Sounds like its really coming down in some places up there, hope you're all safe!

One of my favorite things to do during a storm is go to trafficland or the nj turnpike to see the live cameras and what it looks like in different areas.

My cats are all watching it come down.  One was pawing window before trying to catch it:)

There are some adorable videos on youtube of cats in snow.  They kind of pat down the snow.

We missed it......we got about 4 inches (and that's considered missing it, compared with what other areas were getting). It started in earnest right around 3:00 yesterday afternoon and, by 4:00, everything was white. Rick picked me up around 3:30 or so and we came home. I think some sleet may have mixed in with the snow from time to time as we could hear pinging against the house.

We're fine. The wind is start howling this morning....so far, though, we've not lost power or anything (and we're another area that loses power at the drop of a hat).

I hope everybody else is doing OK.

Yeah. I don't even know if it's the same storm system, but we're supposed to get. . .something. . .here on Saturday night/Sunday. They can't decide what. Maybe rain, if it's not too cold, maybe tons of snow, or maybe some rain and some snow--who knows?! I hope there's not too much ice. But I'm pretty sure we won't be getting 2 feet of snow at least---so everybody that is getting that much, stay safe!
I'm next door to you in Minnesota.  Our part of the country is going to be effected by an entirely different storm system.  And I have to agree that the forcast is confusing, because now they are talking about a blizzard in parts of our general area.  But for my corner of Minnesota, they are still talking about freezing rain starting tonight, changing to just plain rain Sunday afternoon, and then finally changing to all snow on Monday.  It just sounds like more ice to me.  YUCK!!!!!!!!!

I've seen some news coverage of the east coast storm and it looks bad everywhere but especially in the areas that are getting two feet or more of snow.  How does a person shovel that much snow without getting hurt or having a heart attack?  I'm sending more
 to you all.

Thanks Pam.  I'm not sure exactly how much we got, looks like maybe 6 inches.  My screen door opened easily so the snow wasn't high at all.  I'm just going to wait for some of it to melt before Russ and I attempt to clean it.  No power outtages in my area either.  It could have been worse but we still have a lot more winter yet.  If this is the worst, we'll be ok.

We are doing well starting the process of digging out. First and foremost trying to get to some of my ferals dens. I have not seen them yet today and I am starting to worry,

Here are some shots I took this morning before starting the digging.

It's ok you are not too far from me :) Load the kitties and come over we have a generator if we lose power.
Awwwww Thank you! :hugs: I'm just seeing this now because while we kept our power, we lost internet and cable TV. :lol3: I was relying on my phone and some of the towers in the area were down too!
