I've been feeding my girls Merricks for a little while.  Unfortunately, the girls like a limited selection of flavours (Turducken, Thanksgiving day dinner, and Grammy's Pot Pie).  Really, they only eat Thanksgiving Day Dinner and Grammy's Pot Pie with mild/feigned interest.  Turducken is their flavour of choice.

To try and widen their selection, we bought a few cans of Halo's Spot's Stew.  The girls have gone crazy for chicken and beef, and lamb.  They must love the flavours!  I've never seen either one finish their food with such zeal.

So now I'm wondering what the general consensus is on Spot's Stew.  What are your thoughts?  Is it a good brand to feed to the girls?

Good for you for trying to get your cats to try different foods.  Ritz was an incredibly picky eater of wet food before I transitioned her to raw.

I like that the proteins are named; don't like the number/amount of vegetables and fruit (carbohydrates).  Interestingly, the chicken and beef has no beef listed in the ingredients.

The ingredients in Merricks and Spots Stew are similar.

By the way:  grain free does not mean no carbohydrate.  Evo gets high grades by a number of posters.

Other people who feed wet will chime in their observations/recommendations.

I did a very quick search for nutritional information on Spot's Stew. I'm not very familiar with the brand. This is the turkey but compares fairly closely with the salmon and chicken. Carrots and peas are in the top 5 ingredients with potato as the main source of carbs. The website was not real helpful with finding nutritional information. Either that or I just had a difficult time navigating the site http://www.halopets.com/
