Red eyelid!!!

My kitten (about 5 weeks old) scratched his eye and now his eyelid is red. Is this just something that will go away or should I take him to the vet as soon as possible. 

He is acting normal and playing/running around but seems to squint every once and a while.

How did he scratch his eye; and was it the eye or eye lid?

I'd call your vet and ask him.  If he/she has email, try to take a picture of the eye and email it to him.

If the redness has not gone away in 24 hours, or is getting worse, he may have got infection in it and will need some antibiotic eye drops from the vet. Certainly I would talk to the vet.
