Hey Everyone! I just found this site and thought I'd introduce myself!

I've owned cats my whole life and I currently have 2 cats named Friski and Tiger. Friski is our 8 (soon to be 9) year old calico colored maine coone mix who we rescued from a pet shop where she was VERY sickly and nursed her back to health. She's a real sweetheart who's a little bitey at times but we figure that's probably since she had been taken away from her real mommy too soon (at only about 5 weeks old). Tiger is our (approximately) 3 year old brown tabby mix who we also rescued! She was a stray who'd, apparently, been wandering our neighborhood for about a year and was taken care of by some of the people in the neighborhood who finally found her way to our front porch. We IMMEDIATELY fell in love with her and took her in, but we had to coax her out of the bushes and get her to warm up to us first. At first my grandma (who we live with) said we couldn't bring her inside since Friski does NOT typically get along with other kitties and also she didn't think we could afford another kitty. But she changed her mind after we noticed a neighbor of ours kind of shooing her away and being mean to her and also some little kids would pick on her so we decided that we would keep her indoors for good as soon as she was well adjusted and she's been living happily with us for over a year now! She is THE sweetest cat we've ever had and just loves to cuddle and be with us and even follow us around. Her FAVORITE things are rolling around getting belly rubs and getting treats! Lol! She has a special "treat zone". She has a special spot on the stairs where we can NOT stand by unless we're prepared to get a treat and if I stand there (or anyone of us) she will meow right in my ear (or whoever is standing there)! Lol!  She's still a bit shy around strangers but she's getting better. Before she would bolt out of the room as soon as someone comes in. Now she just hides behind the TV and comes out very cautiously and sniffs them and kind of goes in and out of the room. Also, as my username would suggest, I don't just have furry babies in my home. No, I now am a betta owner! His name is Mojo. He's a blue veil tail betta who's named after the anagram of Jim Morrison (Mr Mojo Risin), as you can see I'm a big fan of The Doors Lol! And that about sums us up right there!

Hi, welcome to TCS!  It's very nice to meet you from another fan of The Doors (and cats too, of course.)
