I had to share this since my neighbors don't like cats and now other animals are bothering them and I have to laugh.

My neighbor is being bombarded by starling droppings. They are all around we have the same issue, but our yard is "natural" and we welcome the free fertilizer.

So today my neighbor got high up on a ladder to hang an owl statue in the tree, presumably to scare away the starlings.
For 2 years in my yard I had the exact same owl statue up for decoration ( I never realized its true purpose got it at a garage sale). It's near my bird feeder, and basically, the birds are de-sensitized and associate owl as free food. :D

I don't talk to my neighbor, so I won't tell him his statue wont work. ;)

Ha ha, I love it! Do let us know how it goes!

I am having my own little problem with intelligent and adaptable starlings right now.... after a few months of trying to trap one feral cat that will not be caught, the starlings have become brave enough to enter my cat traps, trapping themselves in the process. They have gotten some quantity of kibble from me! :lol3:

No kidding! Although trapping themselves isn't so smart. :p

The very next day his house, car, and driveway were bombarded by bird droppings. As I suspected the owl did nothing.
