Ooooh kitty cats!

Hi guys!  Meet my two felines:

Light (Named after Light Yagami from DeathNote)

&

Havoc (Named after Lieutenant Havoc from FullMetal Alchemist)

I stumbled across this site about a month ago in search of an answer as to what the symbolism was behind Light profusely grooming Havoc all the time. Literally, all the time. He's probably grooming him right now in the other room. Havoc grooms back sometimes, and if Light's in a generous mood he'll take it. Every once in a while he gets fussy about it and holds him town to groom him instead.

We had gotten Light as a kitten back in June of 2012. He'll be a year old sometime in March I would imagine. Seems to be a mix of a Siamese and some other kitty as his eyes are bright blue and he's an off white color with faint stripes on his sides that you can't really see unless you are paying close attention.  He started to get really restless & was in constant need of attention. I've never seen a cat crave so much playtime in my life. Looked online for any solutions to his behavior problems & ended up finding a blog post stating that two cats would keep each other entertained. Which made sense.

Ironically enough, when we moved into our new place, this stray kitty around the same age as Light started coming up to the doorstep. So we decided to see how they would react to each other. Started out slow because stray kitty Havoc had some fleas that needed taken care of before we would let him in the house. After taking care of that & giving him a bath to wash all the dirt off of him, we chanced it and let them meet face to face with no door between them.

Now they are the best of friends. They play and cuddle together constantly. I hardly ever see the two apart.

We went all out and built them a cat tree that ended up costing us only about $50 in the end. And they love it. Especially Light. He loves clawing things.

Alright. I guess I'll stop rambling on & on with my introduction. :) Excited to hear all about everyone else's little buggers.

Hi Paradox and welcome to TCS

Love your pics... beautiful pussycats, beautifully photographed.   How good is it that Havoc just turned up right when you needed him?!

Your cat play/tree/hidey-hole is very clever.  You've done a fabulous job!

May I ask what part of the world you come from?

Oh your kitties are beautiful!  I especially love Light's eyes.  That color is just gorgeous!  Reminds me of the color of the ocean here around Hawaii :)  Your cat tree is really neat too!

Well, before we were stationed here we were stationed in Alaska, so I'm definitely not complaining about our change of location:)  And I grew up in Pennsylvania, so it's kind of nice to have a "winter" with no snow & the warm weather!  But remember, tomorrow's groundhog day, so only 6 more weeks of winter ;)

Very beautiful kitties. :) Welcome!! It's awesome that you made them a cat tree from scratch. That's the best kind of cat furniture I think, home-made. ^-^ I've always wanted to make one but haven't gotten around to it yet, but they do have a few store-bought ones. That will have to do for now lol.

It's crazy how expensive those things can be from the pet shop. There are some similar to ours at petco that are close to 200+ dollars. Plus it was a fun project to be able to customize!

Welcome! Beautiful kitties. Awesome job on the cat tree. I am debating whether to buy one or bribe the hubby to make one.
