Taffi has red stuff on her ears & missing hair. HELP!!!

I noticed last night while petting Taffi that she had hair missing on her ear about the size of a quarter and red stuff that looked kind of like veins where the hair was missing. None of the other cats have this, I checked all of them. I'm worried and I wanted to know if anyone has any idea what this could be? I don't have much money so I'm hoping it's something I can treat myself. But I will take her to the vet if necessary. She's my baby...

Is the red veiny thing in a circle...? I don't want to alarm you, but it could be ringworm, which does cause hair loss and red patches. It's by no means dangerous, but it's uncomfortable and unsightly and it can spread to humans.

Google some ringworm pictures and see what you think. She probably needs to go to the vet if it is. They'll give you a cream to put on her and instructions for how to keep it from spreading.

It not in an exact circle. But I think I am going to take her to the vet as soon as possible. I haven't found any pictures that look similar. Thank you for your reply!

What was the diagnosis? Was it ringworm?

Our 7 week old Persian just got diagnosed with ringworm.  We didn't think it was that because it wasn't a perfect circle, but apparently it doesn't have to be.  Definitely get her checked because it can spread to your other pets and/or to you.  Yuckies.    Good luck!
