I seem to get more and more dependent on it. The power went out earlier so I was on my phone surfing the internet. :lol3:

I think the longest I have ever gone is the 10 days we were in Ireland.

8 months in the mid-2000s when I was just too poor, and bear in mind this was before iPhones were a common accessory. No contest between paying for my kitties and paying for that computer cable. There was a library with internet computers there, so it was just a pain in the tuchus to do anything online. It's scary how addictive constant access is, isn't it?

Back in 98, my father died and the computer died in sympathy. Found myself off line for a long time. Back then, I was a member of a tightly knit chat that was almost exclusively people in the harness racing industry and we mostly knew each other in real life or at least we knew people in common. I was gone long enough that a long time real life friend started calling everyone in my town with the same last name and he lucked out - first person he talked to was my aunt who gave him my phone number; another person in the same group was ready to call the RCMP to run me to earth.

Here, the electrics can be iffy at times, so stuff goes down regularly and can be out for a couple of days or more at a time.

Probably just a week at a time. When I was on a cruise; whenever I spend a week at my grandmas... etc.

Four horrific weeks while at a rehab facility after surgery. :thud: Luckily I had online friends who I could contact with updates.

I have since found out that if I need to use that facility again, they now have internet access.

A few hours
.  Seriously, I work on/with computers and students all day. I don't go on the computer at home, since, I have a family and house to care for. But, I do spend time on my phone surfing the internet.

10 days. I was in the mountains and could get absolutely NO reception from anything. After I finally settled down about it; all was well :D

A week or two of withdraw when the PC crashed.

I took a crash of my own when my person died, my horse and my brother. I am on the mend as of late.

I come on couple of times a week now.

Not twice, three times everyday like I use to.

It has to be most recently on the days before and after our move. I don't think I went to the computer for over a week!!!! It actually was a nice break from cyberspace for us. :)

This is how it goes in our house. It's only my husband and me here so He has the computer from 7 am  --10 am. Then we go to the library for 2 hours so we both get some time on the computer then when we take turns when we get back till dinner. After dinner he will get it till 8 pm and I will have it till I go to sleep around 1- 1;30 am. If he can't sleep he will get back on it about 4 am.
