My cat is having basically a tummy tuck tomorrow, you can read about it here: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/251893/rash-that-wont-heal
Anyway I am assuming he will have sutures in his lower stomach so I am wondering if I should use a special litter? I will also ask my vet but I figured I would check what types of litter here people would suggest. I know vets often have people use shredded newspaper for cats after a spay but I don't think that will work out well for him because he sometimes likes to stand on the edge of the litterbox, so if it is something lightweight like newspaper I think the box would tip over.
I'm wondering if I can just use the Tidy Cat Breeze litterbox, I already have several of these (including a new/unused one) and they use plastic pellets instead of litter. So it wouldn't stick to the incision.
