We have just purchased our first bred cat. After rescuing 2 cats and 2 dogs and fostering a stray Siamese mix and her kittens, we got the Savannah Fever. We are now the proud owners of an F5 Savannah female Nyah. I am curious to learn more about this breed and how they interact with their families to get a better idea of what to expect.

We have a breed section here for you to post and find out more! I have no experience with pure-bred cats.

Hi, I don't have experience with Savannahs, though I think they are beautiful.  I do want to welcome you to the site, however.  It's very nice to meet you.

<snipped> we got the Savannah Fever. <snipped>
The above is just my
based off of owning my Savannah. It is NOT meant to sound discouraging. They are a great and supper fun breed. They are just very very active and require a little different care and handling IMHO. But, they return that with love via chirps purrs and hisses, yes hisses, beyond measure. If you cats ears are forward and she is not running away and or running towards you hissing, she is in fact happy. They often puff there tail up and raise the hair on there back. Again, as long as, the cats tail is up and the ears are forward this means your Savannah is happy and exited.

Who is the breeder of your girl? She looks very very cute, in, your avatar
. Sorry for the book above. Please, if, you need any clarification or have any more questions, please, just ask. I love sharing about living with Loki

I have just recently come into the possession of two F4 6 month old girls.  I have done a fair amount of research, but I have never heard of this PICA.  We have only had them for a couple of days, and they have been too busy exploring and chasing dust bunnies (I swear I vacuum I have no idea where they got them from) they have yet to let us know their names.

Here in Alberta anything before an F4 is illegal to own as a pet.  I am not a stranger to exotic pets (I've been owned by ferrets) and they are a very smart highly active critter.

What toys do you recommend.  My past Kitties weren't into the wands,  or laser teasers.  The occasional cat nip mouse was all.  So I am looking for recommendations for toys and training
