I have a 2 and a half year old tabby, whom hasn't had any shots besides his first shots, distemper, etc (the usual) should I give him an annual shot from Tractor Supply to prevent the flu and what not? Or should I not? I don't really have money for the vet, and I do my dogs myself so I was thinking it would be fine to do to my cat as well.

I don't vaccinate my kitties and my vet is okay with it.  They are indoor only and don't interact with any other kitties except each other.  They're all very healthy.

See this is why I figured I'd ask, because I was not sure. My boy NEVER goes outside except when I took him to get fixed and when we moved. He is absolutely terrified of the outdoors so him getting out is not an issue for me.

Will he ever need to go to a boarding cattery?  If you are suddenly ill will he be looked after at home?

I live on my own, my cats have to board from time to time and I do some showing as well, so I keep them up-to-date.  I also have a breeding queen and cats going to stud have to be up-to-date with their vaccines.

It was a life-saver when I was rushed to hospital a few years back and got home 10 days later in a weak and wobbly state.  I knew my cats were being looked after properly and were safe.

It's not likely a boarding place would accept vaccines given at home anyway. They usually require a vet's receipt.

No, I don't see any point in you vaccinating him. It won't be legally recognized, and immunity from core vaccines lasts a lot longer than one year. If you want to give the FVCRP every 5 years or so I'm certain that would be sufficient. Current AVMA recommendation is "no more often than" once every 3 years. There's no point in giving the Feline Leukemia vaccine, and the rabies shot needs to be given by a vet.
