First time on any cat forum, but been a cat person my entire life! I'm a 19 year old female living in Manchester with my fiance and 2 young cats, I moved away from home over a year ago now leaving behind my family and 2 middle aged cats, living without cats was a nightmare and we finally decided to get some kittens last year.
In November we bought Castiel - unusual name I know, it's the name of an angel in this show me and my fiance love! - the lady we bought him from didn't inform us how young he was and we took him at 5 weeks, obviously being so young we had to take special care of him because he wasn't ready to leave his mum. Eventually he started sleeping in our bed and is growing rapidly, he's just over 4 months old at the moment, he's got the sweetest nature and a very respectful attitude towards us. Also we suspect by his fur thickness, the grease marks and his personality and behaviours, he's part Norwegian forest cat - can't be 100% because we couldn't see the parents sadly.
Fast forward to roughly 2 weeks ago and we found Nora, thankfully she was 9 weeks, half Bengal with the cutest little face, obviously at first we were worried they wouldn't get on, but immediately they were smitten. She is very vocal, if she's in a mood we'll know about it, if she's happy she will rub herself all over us, she's very feisty but fun and loving at the same time.
We recently performed an IQ test on Cas - we found a book in a pet shop - and according to the measurements, he's a bit of a genius, have yet to perform one on Nora because we are still bonding with her, so don't know her well enough yet.
Back home with my family there is Rockstar, the daughter of one of my first cats (Charlie went missing a few months before Alfie was born), was the runt of the litter and born with a deformed paw; we could tell she was special even as a kitten, so we had to keep her. At 2 years old, Rockstar gave birth to Alfie (Rockstar's father was a ginger tom too), after Charlie going missing at this point Alfie stayed with us, and despite his size at 4 years old, he's a gentle giant and still acts like a big baby when I visit.
